I have a G940 and it has been flawless for me. Though I just may not have enough experience with other hardware to know its short comings. I have always used twist sticks in the past. I would love a WH though. People in reviews claimed that the G940 was an excellent piece of hardware and more accurate than anything on the market. Now it seems to be reviewed as a piece of junk. Now all the reviews say the WH is the most excellent piece of hardware and more accurate than anything on the market. Hence my apprehension to believing its twice as good as a g940 (according to price which does not include a set of pedals). I was not attacking, but all the posts saying the WH will last 10 years because of non contact hall sensors keeps irking me. In all the sticks I have had the axis were the last things to go bad. I had 2 saitek sticks recently that lost most of the buttons functionality long before the axis went bad. And I only had a bad twist axis on one of my sticks. I went from like 8 buttons on the cyborg stick to a trigger and one of the top buttons left. Then the twist became erratic and I decided to upgrade to the G940 that everyone was claiming to be the last and greatest HOTAS I would ever need. And that it has absolutely amazing FFB. I do hope to one day be able to afford a WH though. By the time I can afford it of course, DCS:Fighter Jet will be out and the new stick that works best and perfectly for it will be released also.

ROE weapons hold should work I think. -
And you have R&D evidence of this stick lasting 10 years? Hell, you have some proof that this will last longer than any other stick? Which TM sticks have you had? None of the parts in those are used in the WH correct?

Reversal fixed? Just saw a post saying Logitech were working on it a few days ago.

I still assume its going to be a rotorcraft. Well I hope it is. I was never really into rotor sims till BS. Kiowa or Apache next would be great. If its apache, heres to hoping they can get a HIND after that 2 seat ground breaking, though I doubt it. Apache and HIND are quintessential attack choppers. Everyone knows their shape and fears their shape. -

Falcon 3 was my first taste of Flight Simness. Talk about being spoiled. Just look at all the documents that came with it. And it worked with Apple. :)

If you consider the amount of threads and videos and fan made documents detailing every aspect of this sim to be blindly spending $60, I am very sad for you. I dropped $60 on COD4 with no demo and there was only hollywood trailers showing me what my $60 was buying. This sim release is anything but a blind purchase.

Ok, maybe a DCS hind is a bad idea. :shocking: That start up checklist video was only using like 2 panels. I will never get that bird off the ground.

Search the forums. There are people doing it now, but its not officially supported in the Beta.

China has an "F16" clone, so it could work in MP. One of my last choices of next aircraft though. Only thing lower is the F18. -
LAlt+C allows mouse look and interact. You will have the yellow cross hairs till over a switch. LAlt+C again gives only mouse look. LAlt+C again gives no mouse look, only interact. This was stated by Panzertard. Is this not working for you? If this does not work for you from the beginning of the mission you have some sort of a bug. Are you pressing any other buttons before you try to LAlt+C to look around? LCtrl+F1(I think that is the command for Natural Head movement) turns off mouse functionality. I usually mash the buttons till it start working again. Not sure what the actual procedure is to turn off the Natural Head movement thing.

Could have a decal made at a sign shop. Apply so that letters stay on acrylic. Spray paint flat black then painstakingly remove the letters.

Tomcat video was much better than that Imax film. In the Imax video I was shocked that they called in A10s to combat the enemy Helo. Seemed odd considering no radar on A10s.

I liked the Imax vid, too bad it had to be so chessily narrated. Should have had James Earl Jones or the ED version of Samuel L Jackson. Great insight into the red flag exercises though. Had no idea how many pilots and aircraft were invited.

Navigation lines on TAD and auto-sequencing between waypoints;

You have to be pointing towards target. Not sure on which clock number but may be as narrow as between 10 and 2 to the target. Or it will display INR or something. Still tracking the target position, but not able to lock as SPI I dont think. Not sure, just what I have noticed. -
Behind the CDU keypad on the right panel.

Fresh install of Wn will help also. Not just win7. If you are getting 40fps with high textures, scenes, vis, shadows, water, HDR, TSAA, MSAA, I am extremely impressed anyway. We need to start a simple benchmark. If someone could record a track that works and has some high stress areas and some low, then we could all run it and post our different results. I would think that should be pretty simple.

No Teamspeak is how you communicate in MP. The simulation has no ability to actually transmit your voice I do not believe.
-
no idea what frame time is, but FPS is frames per second and that is what determines how fluid it looks. If it looks like a slideshow you are well below 10FPS.

I was in the F22 trainer. Its top secret so you probably don't know about it. They store it in the alien hangers... I would like to know the stall recovery procedures as well. When I stall, I look at my IAS and its over 200 and just about any input sets off the alarms and re-enters the stall. Then I try to do less and less input and finally get out with a couple thousand before "landing". A bit nerve racking and I would like to know proper procedures for getting out with less trial and error. Which rudder input are you using? Counter the spin direction I assume?
