  1. @Wicked.- I disabled track recording: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=208832 In longer sessions this might fill RAM/pagefile too much. Another problem might be a memory leak VRAM or RAM, i had this in a multiplayer session a couple of betas ago, VRAM was filled by 100% and my framerate started to drop.
  2. Yep, no doubt on that. But i wish we wouldn't be driving our Ferraris with only one wheel on the road for DCS. Please ED, my other CPU cores need a job in DCS. :)
  3. Splitting SS values in SteamVR gives a good amount of flexibility for other VR games. Not every game needs to run at extremely high SS settings. In the end it's always best to avoid values that produce aliasing artifacts, e.g. when a panel has to display just a fraction of a rendered pixel because the renderer produced 3 pixels and the panel has only space for 2 pixels to display them. This leads to the well known flickering between the 2 panel pixels. However, rendering 2880x3200 on a 1440x1600 panel is damn costly, no matter how it was achieved.
  4. SteamVR beta 1.7.12 is out.
  5. SteamVR beta 1.7.12 out!
  6. @Wicked.- Keep in mind that SteamVR SS settings act as multipliers, you end up with 276% with your settings (2.3 x 1.2). Better use 148% (settings under Video, 2452x2724) and 138% in Application to achieve perfect 2880x3200 per eye.
  7. Low Latency on Ultra is a new interesting driver feature from Nvidia, seems to work pretty well on SteamVR beta 1.7.11. ED should focus on other frame drop issues now, like having several AI aircraft in vicinity with framerate dropping down to hell.
  8. @Scarecrow84 You will know as soon as a big update comes out, where all of those who tinkered the axis saturation down to hell can safely set everything back to 100% to get 1:1 deflection for the cyclic: - ingame cyclic 1:1 deflection on joystick input and before startup deflection equal to after startup deflection - in special settings you will find the same trim options like in the other helicopter modules - the magnetic brake will actually work (press and hold - disengage, release - engage, full FFB support...). - no more weird continuous roll on cyclic input - tbc Everything just a dream for years now. But all this is needed to make it a full-quality DCS module.
  9. I find it quite depressing that a "real life" heli pilot isn't aware of DCS's excellent implementation of realistic force trim feature for the helicopter modules. With a spring centering stick (which should be a very annoying input method for a real life heli pilot) you have to use those workaround methods (stick to center after trim), which isn't the most natural way of flying a heli. Someone who has no clue about the realistic trim feature might it find difficult to fly the Mi-8, UH-1 and Ka-50. However, there are springless joystick mods out there and FFB joysticks which work absolutely fabulous with the realistic trim feature. It makes flying the helicopters in DCS the most realistic experience for a game on PC. The Gazelle module doesn't even feature any of those trim methods and in addition, their magnetic brake implementation is a joke. This, the weird input sensitivity overdrive after startup and the incomplete FM make the Gazelle a low quality module in comparison to the other helicopters in DCS. It's like Arcade Mode always enabled, like flying a helo in Arma and other games with 'normal' joysticks. Examples for a simple joystick mod with 'hold stick in place' feature: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=50522 Another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR3I0WS9vWI
  10. I also disabled HT in bios recently, made custom bios profiles for gaming and working (HT off and HT on).
  11. @Nagilem Normally, hyperthreading does not help much with CPU bound games. But DCS's optimal CPU usage is still a mystery ED like keep to themselves. Maybe you can also try to give the game 2 additional cores (real ones, e.g. 12 and 14...).
  12. @Nagilem In process lasso, the virtual cores should be unchecked (in your case 9 and 11).
  13. In the first place, i'm actually happy that companies like VIRPIL exist. A niche product for a tiny market is always a great risk for a small company and the devices they build are fulfilling my needs perfectly. None of the bigger players achieved that so far.
  14. Cool how fast they reacted to fix the problem, using SteamVR bug reports works.
  15. Yay! They also adressed the vertical SDE issue.
  16. Nice, Valve reacted and made something for us: https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/1599262707997233111
  17. As far as i know, trim reset is only advised to be used on the ground after landing. Avoid using it when airborne.
  18. Leave a comment here and let's hope it gets the right amount of attention: https://steamcommunity.com/app/250820/discussions/3/1636416951447047234/
  19. @frosen If you are on SteamVR beta (1.7.9), opt out and revert to stable version 1.6.10. It should remove any unusual performance issues.
  20. My suspect #1 is: https://steamcommunity.com/games/250820/announcements/detail/3536935351306139673 Compositor: Motion Smoothing no longer throttles applications that are primarily cpu bound (e.g. No Man’s Sky).
  21. @imacken Sorry, you mentioned post #856 :) But yes, i checked SteamVR beta vs stable several times, it's definitely something with the beta.
  22. @imacken If Wicked.- is still running "...After the release, I stopped using the PD in DCS and set it to .50, then used OTT to set it to 1.6..." i'm not wondering about his bad impression. This kind of setting, undersampling followed by upsampling, will have a very bad effect. First he should make sure that no oculus driver/setting is interfering with SteamVR and than set anything from the ground up, Supersampling in SteamVR (first under /Video then /Application) and PD 1.0 in DCS.
  23. @Supmua Man, you are lucky. I even tried a complete reinstall of SteamVR, without luck. I always need to revert to SteamVR 1.6.10 to get rid of the bad stutters that are occuring on SteamVR beta 1.7.9 :( Dubai is also my benchmark.
  24. You might considering asking them for spare parts and swap the button yourself. Their hardware is usually easily accessable for maintenance:
  25. There is definitely something going on with the latest OB versions, for me opting out of SteamVR beta made the game playable again. Sadly thats the only thing i found out so far.
