A tip for transitioning to a hover is once you get under 50 kph, a line will appear in the center of the hud, (you have to be in the main hud mode, backspace will get you back to main hud mode) that line is an aid that will help you get into a hover. Simply apply cyclic in the opposite direction of the line, and the length of the line is the how much cyclic to use.

Congratulations to the Red Team. you guys were pushed all the way to Maykop and you came back. I know the server issues are frustrating for everyone but the Buddy Spike team is blazing a new trail here. This is very ambitious and there is nothing like it. When the red turned the tide it just crushed the morale of the blue it was embarrassing to hear all the complaining. Give Red their due. Good job guys!

I would also prefer a cold and dark helo, but if there is a reason for it, i can deal, but it did lead to a mistake on my part the other day. Story time: So there I was, in my KA-50 having just flown from the Tbilisi-beslan farp, through what we affectionately call the "death star trench" I was nearing the town of Vladikaskas aka "Dave" I am getting reports of a pair of enemy KA-50's over Dave, I spot one of the enemy black sharks, wonder where his buddy is...hmmm. I am approaching from the flank, he doesn't see me, I close the distance, switch to 30mm cannon, get a perfect shot lined up and squeeze the trigger....nothing happens. I glance down, my master arm switch is still on safe, flip that up and now I am no longer in position My wingman got the kill so we were still successful but please don't fall victim to the same mistake, with these hot starts it is even more important to follow your proper fence in procedures.

Don't load asymmetric load outs OR if you do just know that left side is going to have to be expended completely before you can use right side. Also be careful when loading because you are sitting in the bird but the load out screen is like you are looking at the aircraft head-on. If you are like me this will mess with your perception of which is left and which is right I often use an a-symetric load-out on the inners when in multiplayer, I love to use orange smoke rockets to mark for the other strikers, but if I don't want to give up my ability to use explosive rockets I will load the right side with smoke and KOM's on the left, So I get one rocket barrage then I can start marking. Giving up 6 Vikhrs for a Karen doesn't sound like a good trade to me though. unless you are hunting ships or something.

true you don't have SEAD but the sams you face are IR sams not radar sams. Let's fly it together sometime, the mission file can be edited to allow for 2 players. It is a tough mission but it is possible to beat it.

Do you guys notice Vikhrs are missing more? Maybe it is just tied to this frame drop issue but I noticed that vikhrs are losing track a lot more if there is any yaw at all they will not track, maybe this was intentional? Is this more realistic?

Yes all the bass is gone, big one for me was the cannon. It used to sound so good on my subwoofer now it sounds so weak. I noticed another one that has to do with sound. I hit F6 to watch my missile but when I moved the camera behind the missile a super loud noise almost blew out my speakers and made me jump out of my chair.

For Blue MVP, I nominate Apo. He put that orange light on and worked to be a liaison to the 104th, he spend hours as a ground commander and even longer in helos hauling those troops.

Got the pleasure of transporting the last troops to capture the last airfield and then the last city in the war.

Last night I saw the use of orange lights and some planning done on the reset. The coordination was much improved Really enjoying the campaign, thanks for all the work being put into it and for the new siggy!

Apo, I applaud your efforts to coordinate, I like the idea of all getting together for a quick huddle. server reset would be the most logical time to do it. next time i am on and the server is about to reset I will ask that all who are staying on past the reset land your planes and hop on the same channel for 5 minutes then you can go back to your own channels. I will see if anyone bites I

Maverick wrote I would have been happy to fly to Beslan for you, but please look at it from my perspective, I log in Saturday night, I see 104th is on and some 99th and Mach Potato guys as well as lone-wolves I recognize from the 104th server. I first instinct is to joint he 104th channel, but it is pw'ed, I send a text on TS to a few people in the channel asking to be let in, no response. I head down to the Mach Potato room, they are taking Nalchik, so I decide to join them. I fly for a long time in the huey and i am almost to Nalchek when Apo who is trying to coordinate everything asks me to go to Beslan. I would have gone there from the start if you told me. At first I decide to stick with my plan to head to Nalchek once that is secure i turn for Beslan but get killed by red air in route. I think alot of us Strikers would love to coordinate with you but if there is another group who will talk to me on TS I am going to fly to where they are. I would like to see us meet in a common channel at the restart and have a briefing then you can head off to your pw'ed TS is thats what you want to do, How does that sound?

This Mission is incredible. I highly recommend it. The voice acting is top notch. I am just blown away. Keep an eye out for this mission. Ranger still needs help with testing. Completely different experience than what we are used to.
