  1. Thanks!
  2. Used to be, you set the autopilot to auto go to the next steerpoint by clicking the dauber to SEQ while on the autopilot page. Now that doesn't work. How is it done now?
  3. I think my TrackIR is starting to die. Well, it's a good 5 yrs old now, maybe more. But I understand eye tracking apps for ordinary screen-mounted webcams has come a long way. I was wondering what recommendations you folks might have.
  4. Thrustmaster HOTAS setup and TPR pedals.
  5. After years of learning DCS solo and being unable to join a squadron because I live in a semi-remote region in Canada with no decent internet access, I am finally getting Starlink. I am hoping to study with a squadron. I've been using the FA-18 and F-16 for a while. I also use the A10Cii a lot though I prefer the faster jets. I am presently learning the Huey but will probably switch to the Apache as soon as it comes out.
  6. Very high up on my wish list would be the ability to save progress in a mission so I can set aside the sim, deal with RL, and get back to it later.
  7. I really have enjoyed this campaign so far, but I had a thought, especially around mission 8, which takes so looonnnggg. I think that was the mission where I lose my wingman to a malfunction and fly around alone for 2 or 3 hours listening to JTAC tell me what to blow up and then I get ordered to fly to an airport, reload and do it all again. I understand the purpose here is to convey that sense of intensity and need to act fast. For those of us that are just simming and can't take the better part of a day to do this, it would be awesome if these longer missions were divided up. Yeah, it would lose some of that sense of grueling intensity but it would be more doable in the real world. Alternatively, I wish there was a way to save one's place in a mission, quit and get back to it later. That would be really nice! Apart from that, I love the campaign. Well voiced, good missions, has a realistic feeling to it.
  8. Turning off the sync with HOTAS checkbox did the trick. Thanks!
  9. In Mission 6, the mission to attack the two T-55 tanks on the ridge, the JTAC always calls off the attack (states your heading is not good). I've lined it up from the correct heading and flown all around to try other headings. JTAC always calls it off. It's not a campaign breaking bug. You can still complete the mission.
  10. With the Thrustmaster TPR and throttle, whenever the sim starts, the F-16's rudder is at full right and the throttle at full afterburner. I don't know if this is happening with any other controllers.
  11. Is there any way to switch the FA-18 to manual rudder control? Seems the ship would be much more maneuverable if I could make the rudders do what I wanted them to do.
  12. I haven't studied that yet. I'll take a look.
  13. I am having real problems with the AGM-65D when paired with a TGP. I have to get so close to successfully transfer a lock from the TGP to the AGM-65D that I might as well drop the TGP most of the time. I mostly fly the A10C and FA-18. Their AGMs seem to lock much more reliably. I am wondering, am I doing something wrong with the F-16's AGM-65Ds (maybe need to develop better technique) or do the locking problems reflect a lack of development?
  14. So far, I've had a pretty smooth ride with Op Pontus, and no previous bugs that I've noticed. But in this mission, I was able to finish, got my end game code for the next mission, but the [END MISSION] option will not close the mission. When I click it, it does nothing. I presume that since I have the next mission code, it doesn't matter.
  15. Chaff and flare setup does weird things following the most recent patch. Changing the number of flares or chaff to be released, or altering number of repetitions or timing, can give random results. Ex. Reduce 1 chaff, and the number might change to 99, 18, etc. Try to lower repeat time from 1:00 second to 0.25 seconds and it might jump to 5:00 seconds.
  16. Unless I am doing something wrong, the Un/Cage command still won't un/cage the AGM-65F. Am I missing something, or is this a long running problem?
  17. The bug that makes it impossible to change the flights' waypoints and tasking was recognized back in January, 2021. It's still showing up now in April. Any news on when this will be addressed?
  18. Updating on this old topic: So my TPR pedals took a long time to get here. They were out of stock, but Amazon honored their pricing error and eventually got them to me as soon as they were in stock again. I think they had listed them at the wholesale price. Anyway, I am really glad I got them. Nothing lasts forever and tech always marches on, so I figure if they last 3 to 5 years, they were well worth it. They seem solid so I suspect they will last much longer. Plus, I am gentle on equipment. I've never broken even a cheap HOTAS and my old X52 still works great, though I updated last year to a Warthog HOTAS. Anyway the TPR is awesome. Feels more like the actual rudder setup of the small planes I've been in. Extremely precise. With my old pedals, operating rudder (or tail rotor) used to feel like something I had to do. Now it is just part of flying, feels far more natural and is enjoyable. I am very happy with the TPR pedals.
  19. Thank you for getting back, Bignewy. I was logged in but there must have been some kind of browser glitch. I closed the browser and restarted it and the option to purchase worked that time.
  20. Is this campaign not actually released yet? I was trying to buy it a moment ago, but the site says I need both the Viper and Nevada map, both of which I have. It won't give an option to purchase.
  21. In mission 7, my wingman vanishes moments after take off. Can't find even on the map. I have flown this mission four times, trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong. Is this a bug or something I'm doing wrong? Any known fix?
  22. Hey folks, I was contemplating getting the Gladiator NXT, but I read some reviews about the buttons not being very durable. Anyone here having problems with buttons failing?
  23. Thanks for all the opinions. I live in Canada, which has a terrible exchange rate. I love Virpil and Crosswind, but at 150% exchange on the Euro, plus shipping, plus sales tax and import fees, they would end up costing as much as the TM TPR. The VKB Mk IV looks very interesting, and I've heard a lot about its durability and accuracy, but to pull it off I'd have to get a Gladiator or Virpil stick for the brake axis, and I am very fond of my Warthog stick which works so well with the A10C. In the end, I decided to go with the TM TPR as I was able to catch it on a sale which, when combined with the quirks of exchange rates on that day, made it end up costing no more than the Virpil and Crosswind pedals.
