Day one purchase for me. P-38 is my favorite warbird. Had the pleasure of seeing one fly at an airshow. Absolute work of art. The Lightning would be a spectacular addition to DCS.

Update: May 2023 We currently offer squadrons for both the F-14A and F/A-18 under CVW-6. We are also excited to announce the formation of our Marine detachment! 2nd MAW has been activated with the inclusion of an AV-8B Harrier squadron! Coming soon we will be introducing a Marine Phantom Squadron! The F-4E will serve as a stand in for the F-4S. All three active squadrons are available to join. The Phantom squadron has roles available and you are free to pre-join. As soon as the Phantom releases we will be standing up the squadron!

The Virtual group I make liveries for is most likely going with VMFA 321. Reserve Marine unit that flew F-4S till around 1990.

First In Defense Naval Cold War is a new DCS group formed to emulate late 80s/ early 90s Naval AviatIon. We currently have two squadrons formed flying F-14A and Payload restricted F/A-18Cs (to simulate the capabilities of F/A-18As of the peroid). Our group is focused foremost on sticking as close as possible to the weapons and systems available during the late cold War Era. What this means to you as a perspective pilot? A focus on fundamentals. No punching coordinates on an mfd to drop JDAMs. No searching through an ATFLIR to find a target. Instead you will be dropping iron bombs, shooting rockets and using Fox 1s to take on your opponent. 1st CAB Demon Brigade Calling all rotary wing enthusiasts. Demon Brigade wants you! We are a newly conceived unit that will be focusing on the rotary wing aircraft of DCS. We are currently forming regiments for the Apache and the recently released Blackhawk mod as well as the Huey. The Kiowa will follow when a release date is announced. Demon Brigade is at its heart a casual simulation experience. We don't take ourselves too seriously but we will check for some basic competence in rotorcraft. If you are new to helicopters we will be happy to help you learn the ways of the chopper. Our aim is to provide a friendly atmosphere where the love of flying helicopters can be fostered amongst all who join. We are in the process of getting 2 servers running and will offer a training server as well as missions specifically designed for helicopters. As a niche unit we do not expect this to be your only DCS group but we do hope that when you want to fly Helos you will fly with us. Finally we do ask our member be 18 years of age or older.
