Of course, my point exactly- BS is by no means a compromise ;) I'll say it one more time- BS is aiming for both a person with huge experience and a person who has heard the word 'flight simulator' just now. I understand what you mean but I can only express my personal opinion- IRL there are no labels and this is the primary thing I disable in any flight sim since Il-2 (which I believe was the first title introducing this 'feature'). Perhaps it's useful for training but I intentionaly avoid using them- creates wrong habits, at least for me :) The logic is far more complicated and is yet to be polished.

There's no any restriction concerning joysticks. I'm using vanilla X52 and it works just fine. I don't have pedals though and I have to use the twist instead which makes it harder to precise the necessary control input but with proper trimming and a lot of practice you can get there.

Next generation USAF tanker is made in... EU :D That's a very serious slap in the face for Boeing and the US a/c industry. But when the facts speak even the Gods keep their mouths shut- another proof that Airbus is generation ahead of Boeing. So this picture makes pretty much sense: Northrop-Grumman have played their cards in a great maner. As philosophy A330 is light years ahead of B767. I'm currently passing maintenance training course of A319/320/321 and I'm astonished how advanced conception that is nowadays being... 20 years old.

You don't have to worry about that. Having capabilites of hardcore study sim BS hasn't forgotten the people who are not so fascinated of having realistic flight model or operating the countless switches in the cockpit. It is intended to cover the requirements if not of the entire community at least of the the majority (minus the fast movers fanbois :D). To your suggestions: - autohover- standart (and very helpful) mode of the autopilot- it's already there ;) - labels- already in ;) - the campaign engine is still WIP, and the AI is perhaps the major subject of the day;

It counts. It means you're lucky- I've always wanted to do paragliding but never went beyond skydiving.

Eeeeek! Wha? Who? Where?... :D Unfortunately I'm not even near of being a real pilot but that's a long story.. Thanks anyway Eric ;) I'm a civil aviation engineer working on Ka-32 helicopters, which share many common things with the Ka-50. Showing my knowledge about that matter in few posts here is what got me in the beta team, exactly one year ago. There are so many different aspects of a flight sim that are impossible to find in one or two persons. I, for instance, have no clue about texturing or 3D modding while Eric and the rest of the SIM-mod team are doing amazing job. But when it comes to the physical model of the helicopter and it's systems- this is where I swim in my own water. So there must be something surplus the average simmer that you can provide.

What do you mean? That these missiles are not 'stock' for the 29? They are. The 29A can't carry the 27T by default but the 29G can, the 29S can carry all versons of the R-27, except for the EM. ALL MiG-29's can carry up to six R-73's.

Su-30MKI's at Red Flag? This is getting interesting...

Thanks for sharing. But this sounds pretty strange to me: What kind of restriction that might be?..

I believe in Asia as well, isn't South Korea producing their F-16's on it's own? Sorry for the OT.

B-2 crash after take off from Anderson AFB (Guam)!
RvETito replied to BladeLWS's topic in Military and Aviation
Negative, they resumed flights but new accidents happened- first an F-15D (no human losses) near Hawai and the colision from that week wasting two F-15C's and one life. No idea wether they are/will be grounded again. -

AFAIK it uses standart 8mm tape, where is and how the casette looks- I would like to know :) -
They did the same with bulgarian MiGs in 2007- according to NATO obligations we must maintain 16 planes (12 single seaters and 4 two-seaters) for air policing. The service life was extended up to 40 years, which ensures pilots training until new generation multirole plane is chosen, if ever. What's interesting about serbian MiG's is that Pavel Vlassov has been one of the test pilots to fly them after long grounding.

I din't think it's only HUD Torwak. The camera records on videotape (I'm not sure about the format though) which would not need so special equipment. What I believe is this looks like the mission data cartridge that is pugged at the right ot the ejection seat in the F-16 cockpit- where the pilot plots his flight plan and all the stuff on a workstation and then when put it in the slot and the plane is powered up this info is uploaded to the nav and combat systems. Besides, that looks exactly like a workstation. -

That would be the LANTIRN, i.e. block 40/42. You can also recognize it by the 'green' wide HUD. Cool pics mate, especially the last one is neat. The Turkish stars visited Bulgaria 5 years ago- truly impressive show, I would say more exciting than the one the US Thunderbirds did last year. -
