Well, this is the DCS digital combat simulator... there is not much combat in yak5, so go figure... and for the ns43, I can imagine be very useful for civilian planes on very large maps (like MSFS) and without the F10, but for DCS... not sure what the idea was... maybe they needed the gps working properly for some missiles and this was just an attempt to capitalize on it or get more out of it I guess

Guys do somebody have saved the documents and articles mentioned in this forum? specially at beginning in like fist 1-2 pages? Sadly all those links from 2012 no longer works...

Hi Guys, I was wandering if there is a way to mod how the missions are presented... Because at the moment it is quite basic in my opinion... I'm talking about the mission lobby or the camping editor/options... I mean when you look at something like IL2 for inspiration, that one looks very nice... Specially the news sections and wing mates selections etc. Or is ED working/planning to work on something similar? Does anybody know? Thank you.

Oh well, since the ED's trailer for it is from 2013, bay we will get "remake/revamp/reboot" or what ever is the correct term one day...

Well, I worked for 10 years of my life as a developer, and from past experience I can tell you that if developer leave some tides untied, it is in general because of 3 things. 1st - they run out of money, which is not the ED case, 2nd - the project is dead/finished, like they stop working on it, which is not our case and finaly 3rd - there is something cooking or going to, they just did not started to work on it and do not want to spend time/monay creating temporary solutions... Based on the pictures of they are scanning hands etc. I'm speculating (wild guessing) that they are wokring on some better ground units, which might come with the vehicles interiors later... I king hope that they simply want to do all sorts of stuff, like tanks, submarines etc... That would be really cool, wouln't be?

Like Mi-8MTV2 have for the extra armor? Or maybe to create extra plane/duplicate it t to have option to choose P-51D_2guns and P-51D_3guns, if it make sense?

I don't get it... Why are you guys so negative... Please read my first post. I simply asked if somebody have any additional information. And look what I got, whinings about what other module should be completed first, how my question is ridiculous and insults... 4 pages of it already... Simple "No, we have no idea" would be enough... I was hopping that maybe somebody from ED, like moderator or somebody could spill something like that they planning do to something about it in the future, or something but that is it... Gosh, I was hopping to see the vehicles interiors... and fully clickable too! Yea I know it is little bit of stretch, but fully clickable and simulated Panzer or Tiger... With proper multi crew support :D One can dream, cannot?

Well some of you guys are right, it is going to be much more easier to implement additional drop tank, than to make Detrola work for sure... Are you sure that the P-51D was only plane to use it? I know that there was at last one more manufacturer that come with similar (competitive?) device... So I'm under impression that it was basically standard issue these days...

Hello guys, With this module, there is note in the shop item description VR Support not currently available for this module. Do anybody know what excatly that means? Like game will crash whne I istall it and turon of VR or something? Thank you...

saburo_cz > they did not use it this way... Based on what I find out it was as simple localization as it could be with very short range... The way how they were using is as navigation waypoints, so they flight strait towards it, based on the azimut, like 100s of miles and when they get into proximity of the beacon, I bleive it had radius like 5-10 miles, they start receiving the signal meaning that they are on the spot, and make turn towards the next beacon based on the azimut and fly strait for another 100s of miles.... so they were not trianlutating anything with it, nor homing or rangefinding, it was just beep when you get to the spot as signal you can do your turn... used specially in bed weateher and low visibility...

Yea, one would think so... I already checked and it is not working... You dont receive the signal...

Well, I'm not saying that this is the only issue, nor the single most important issue... I'm just asking if somebody knows if there are working on something or have any plans to address it later... BTW as far as I can tell there is no frame rate issue with the ww2 planes, but the the Normandy map, and they are working on new terrain engine right now, so it is going to change... (I'm not saying fix, I'm saying change) and also they are adding stuff to the ww2 asset pack, so they might/could do something for my stuff as well...

Hi Guys, Is there a plan to finish the plane? Or does ED have any interest to do it? I mean there are systems that are not implemented... like SCR-695-A IFF, AN/ARA-8, BC-1206 Detrola etc... Also not all customization options are available like to remove the middle guns in the wing to have more ammo...
