Has anyone else running 2.5.6 had an issue where the landing gear is coming down on it's own in the F18? It's been happening since 3/31 that I've noticed. I checked and I do not have anything double mapped. Usually I'm not even pressing a button when it happens. It happens at the worst times, like while I'm looking through the TGP 10 seconds from release. I have an x56 and this issue does not happen in any other sim. The LG so came down once in the JF17 but I have not tested it enough yet to say it has the same problem. :mad: :joystick:

I haven't done it myself but I know if you enable wind in your mission the water makes waves at sea. Worth a shot

They didn't confirm or deny about a delay but wouldn't they have confirmed it along with the sale extension announcement like they did with the initial delay? I am staying confident that it will be released on the 15th.

So I can continue to take screenshots the same way with shadowplay after I edit the lua or is there a better way to take the screen shot? Thank you for reply btw

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to take the highest quality screenshots from DCS? I am using shadow play screenshots now and I am not too happy with the quality. Are there any better ways to do it?

Ah ok, I struggle making level turns in the break with throttle in idle. The nose always drops. I didn't do my best here but I can fly level going straight. Any suggestions there?

I am not sure what you mean by auto/PA mode.

Ok, After some practice and using the awesome suggestions here, I have posted my progress. I know its far from perfect but I feel like there is some improvement. Thoughts?

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue after the latest patch but the landing gear in the F18 will randomly go down on it's own. I was doing a bombing run and I was about to laze my target when my landing gear came down and messed everything up. I am using the logitech x56. It's pretty new (January) and I've checked and there arent any double key bindings. I also tried gently touching my gear control to see if it was the button starting to go but it had no effect. Seems to happen randomly. Is anyone else having this problem? I dont think it was the April fool's joke because it was happening yeaterday as well.

Thanks again to everyone for the awesome advice/ideas. I am really loving DCS and Carrier landings along with AAR have proven to be the toughest things for me so far, which is why I think I love this sim so much. I am thinking of making another video later to show progress. Not sure if anyone cares lol but maybe ill post here in a month or so if its any good.

I struggle a lot trimming on speed. Does the E bracket and velocity vector need to be aligned with the horizon line in the hud?

My first 3 wire in the hornet. How did I do? I realize I landed with auto flaps by mistake. Going to try again tomorrow with flaps to full.
