I am not sure if you did a typo in your message but you are showing using "LALT ` as the key command. From what I can tell, it should be "LALT ' key combination. Hopes this helps.

Here is another post that might shed some light on the subject: ECM & Standoff Jamming capabilities This post basically indicates that ECM is not even modeled in DCS

Flyable F/A-18C - Comm Menu I have installed this MOD into DCSW but just for the FA-18C. I can do everything that any other FC3 airplanes can do. The only issue is that I do not have a Full COMM menu. When the comm menu is called up (\), I see the MAIN label at the top right of screen and then the F12 Exit at the bottom of the COMM menu without anything else listed in between what should be F1 throught F12. This is the only issues that is stopping this mod from being a fully flyable FA-18C. ALL THE OTHER FUNCTIONS ARE COMPLETELY WORKING. If you can get that COMM menu to display all of the options and sub-options which should be there, then you will have the complete package. Could you attempt to get the comm menu issue resolved?????

Found it. Turn "HDR" Off does make a big differance in HUD display. Thanks again!

I'll do a search also for the post, I appreciate the heads up

Already know about changing colors. This doesn't do anything. The display fades into the background during daytime settings. They hud view has a blue tint to the type display so whenever there are any background with white, blue or light colors, the display blends into the background. I failed to mention that this is only happening with the A-10C Hud view only. This is not happening with any of the other flyable planes.

I have notice since going to 1.2.2 that the HUD display is blending into the background under certain conditions. Direct sunlight, yes, this would be explected. I am loosing the ability to read anything in the HUD with other conditions unless I zoom in close to the HUD. Is there a setting which can be changed to help with this situation? Is there a transparancy setting in any of the .lua files??

I run a dual operating system. I have two HD's, one running Windows XP 32 bit and the second drive I run Windows 7 64 bit. I am able to keep my 32 bit programs on one drive and all 64 bit programs on the other. I am aware that Windows 7 64 bit OS has a conversions for the 32 bit programs which allows them to all run together in theory but I have come across some programs which would not convert properly. Always had little issues showing up. This was resolved with the dual OS's. Of course, your hardware needs to be 64 bit to start with for this to work.

New to VAC - Need a basic Profile for DCS A-10C Warthog
spn replied to spn's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks to all who sent me some samples. They will help give me an understanding of how VAC and DCS work together. -
I had this happen to me if I can just remember what I did to correct it. Not much help now

I agree! Thanks

Yes I can. I have attached a stock mission which came out of FC2, "A-10A Airbase". Also I attached a copy of the error message what you receive if you attempt to save this mission after editing it in Mission Editor. Vampire and Vampire 2 are both trying to use the "Search Then Engage In Zone" at two differant locations. When I look in the Advanced Waypoint Actions in Mission Editor, these commands are not present in FC3. I THINK I DISCOVERED THE ANSWER MYSELF. THESE LEVELS OF COMMANDS DID NOT EXIST IN FC2. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. It took me a while to discover this. Thanks again!

So if a person is using Mission Editor to create a mission using an A-10C Warthog and he wants the AI flights to perform certain task such as "Ground Attack", the option for example, under Advanced Actions, Start Enroute Task, then "Search Area Then Engage Zone" command then he could assign which targets he wants attacked. Correct??? This command is available also for the Pinpoint Strike, Intercept and I also think the command is in Escort if I remember correctly. This example is available for all of the DCS Products, A-10C Warthog, DCS Blackshark 2, DCS P-51D Mustang, and Su-25T. But if you use Mission Editor for editing any existing missions in FC3, this command along with some other AI commands are not included in the FC3 Series. They are with all of the other products by DCS. DISCOVERED ANSWER - Even if a person uses Mission Editor on prior missions which uses any of the flyable aircraft used in FC3, these missions can not be edited and have certain advanced commands show up. As long as a completely NEW mission is being created, then all of the commands are present and usable. Thank you for your time.

Are certain AI commands being left out because FC3 is not truly a DCS product and because of previous legal issues?????

Try using your mouse wheel for zooming in and out when using TrackIR.

Since the introduction of "DCS FC3 Flaming Cliffs", would it be possible to set up a catagory under "Digital Combat Simulator" like "DCS World", "DCS A-10C Warthog", "DCS Combined Arms", "DCS P-51D Mustang", and DCS Blackshark 2, etc. ??? This way all issues involving the addition of DCS FC3 Flaming Cliffs could all be posted and addressed in it's own catagory.

The last time I could fine that the Graphics Config file was modified was on 10-9-12. All of the updates since have not changed that file unless DCS is not including it in the Backup folders being stored in the DCS Folder.
-
I have noticed that when DCS went to 1.2.2 and introduced FC3, some previous coding for giving AI flights commands have disappeared. When setting up an AI flight unit for task, Advcanced Actions, Start Enroute Task, the "Search Area Then Engage Zone" command has disappeared from the options. I checked all of the differant task areas such as Escort, Intercept, Pinpoint Strike, Ground Attack, etc. and this options is missing from all the areas that they use to be located. Has this AI command been removed intentionally or left out by accident?? Thanks

Just received the latest update I have, 7268, and the F-15C HUD info is back to not fitting into the HUD frame. The previous update had corrected this issue. Thanks Disregade! Found out that an FC2 mission got mixed in with the FC3 series and this is what was causing me my HUD issue.

Everytime a new backup comes out, a backup folder with the next appended number will appear in your DCS folder. These folders contain files which were changed with the latest update. I currently have 7 backup folders in my DCS folder. These are for the user who is having problems with the latest update and might consider reverting to the previous unchanged files prior to the current update they received. But always backup anything you are changing no matter what. It's is probably a good idea to keep these folders until you are sure you will never need them again then you can do whatever you want with them. You will see another folder with the latest appended number in your DCS folder after receiving the next update.

With the 1.2.2 my BS2 is very long to loading, and you ?
spn replied to Skulleader's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
After you installed all of the new products for 1.2.2, did you possibly run a defrag of your harddrive. This helps with speed access issues sometime. -
There are also some good training videos on YouPlay if you search for DCS A-10C Warthog that might help. Also, this post - DCS: A-10C Tutorial Collection (PDF´s and Videos)

What update level are you currently at now??
