Hi X-31 I have been struggling with an old joystick but just took delivery of a Warthog HOTAS so I am hoping things will ease up. As a private Heli pilot in real life with ratings on the Huey ( Bell Jet Ranger), Loach ( Hughes 500) and several other piston types I thought jumping in to the DCS Helicopters would be a good path. Unfortunately with the VR on it presents another issue LoL I am hoping once I get rudder pedals sorted this should be a giant step forward in the hovering area. Thanks for the input:thumbup:

Hi Bailey, appologies for jumping in on this thread. As a brand new user to both DCS and VA I am struggling a little with all the "behind the scenes" setup that have to be adjusted such as the LUA files and terminologies used ( still don't know what a LUA file is or what binding means and I don't want to bugger something up accidentally :) ) Having just bought a Warthog HOTAS I am now having to come to grips with that ( no pun intended ). I was wondering if there was a guide somewhere that explained the ins and outs of DCS and voice attack etc. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Rgds Kev:thumbup:

Hi, only in as much as it is a few updates behind but I don't know if that makes a difference. I bought the full version but just noticed that it only offers " my profile" which suggests the license has not been taken and it is running as the free version. Perhaps this is the problem, will have to recheck and get back to you all on this :doh:

Yes , its just the install and setup of VA, watching the videos they all seem to be out of date with regards to that is being displayed on the screen of my install files etc. ie where things should appear and what should be displayed etc.

Hi, I 'm just getting into the DCS World and am running an Oculus Quest VR setup via a LINK cable which works fine. I have a Warthog Throttle and Stick coming and I would like to setup the VoiceAttack system. Now I have looked at various YouTube videos but they don't seem to correlate to what I have on the VA menus and file locations and I am getting quite confused.:book: Does anyone know of the most uptodate installation and settings procedure and where it can be found, or can anyone spare the time to talk me through the setup? :helpsmilie: I have paid for a VA license and running the latest version of DCS ( not steam ) so any help would be greatly appreciated. Yes I will be trying the Alt Tab method next, as I recall I had to do something similar to get it running in full screen previously. Cheers :thumbup:

thanks, I'm building up resilience to vr sickness at the moment but fully intend to fly helos and probably A-10 so varying height in all aircraft is vital. cheers:thumbup:

I have changed the full screen setting in DCS so I could start up VA after DCS but DCS keeps starting in full screen!! Is there a way to stop this happening? Cheers

VoiceAttack freezes DCS on Splash screen??? Hi Bailey, total newb to DCS here!! I downloaded your profiles and following your instal video on YouTube for the F18. I start the VoiceAttack program and then DCS but I get stuck on startup as DCS seems to freeze on the splash screen ( Indian and Eagle logos ) If I quit both under windows tasks manager and start only DCS it runs fine!! What am I doing wrong??:doh: Any help greatly appreciated.

Do you know if anyone has made a list of useful key presses for DCS? It would be handy until you become familiar with them or get HOTAS / VoiceAttack setup to reduce some of the load.

It is setup for single screen but I am trying to use VR more and more ( slowly due to VR sickness!!! ) although I often seem to have problems with the display in VRie I can't look around. Very much like looking at a mirror of the pc screen!! Pain in the rear really.

Hi all, just breaking into VR and I noticed that to reach the collective in the helicopters I had to be almost leaning down to the floor to "grab" the controls. I was just wondering if it was possible to "lower" the pilot position and in effect raise the the controls? Has anyone come across this issue before?? Thanks

Latest update guys, after raising a ticket with ED/DCS I was told to rename DCS folder in the user profile to any temp name here: C:\Users\****USER\Saved Games\DCS\ then start DCS World game again Did this and after resetting all the graphics for VR and screen size etc all tickety boo and we were up and running.:megalol: Thanks to all for suggestions etc, much appreciated:thumbup:
