Hi, I realize the carrier has not been released, my problem is, whether related or not, since purchasing it DCS World does not start!! Any thoughts?

Just seems strange that I had been using DCS without issues until after buying the Supercarrier module and the very next time the program freezes on the splash screen ( Indian head and Eagle logos) . Any thoughts on how to progress from this point?? Thanks

Hi all, just paid for the Supercarrier and went into DCS and it seems to be stuck on the front page, no sign of downloading or anything else!!! Any tips on what I should do? I have tried running the repair but makes no difference. Help :helpsmilie:

Hi Don, found that and also activated VR inside DCS, got the full screen view and promptly started feeling VR Sick again on a brief flight around the airfield in the Huey!!!:poster_oops: I can see this taking a lot longer than first thought to conquer the VR Sick thing LoL Have you managed to get to grips ( no pun intended ) with using Hand control within the Sim aircraft? I managed to get hold of the Collective for up and down but unable to push buttons. That was using the oculus hand controllers, I have not managed to get the hand tracking working correctly within DCS, is that a doable thing? Cheers mate

Hi Don, thats the sort of info/guide I am looking for. Where is the unknown sources located? I never got the full VR view when inside DCS it was like looking at a flat PC panel display within the VR environment not the full VR head tracking I was expecting as the panel stayed put and my view moved off from it around the VR room!! Hi Don, I managed to get the PC /Quest LINK cable connected and the DCS window displayed and jumped into a gazelle but the display was just a windowed ( mirror ) of the PC screen with the oculus environment behind. No outside the helicopter view when moving head. As I said I think it is something I have/have not done but I am a bit overwhelmed by it all at the moment. Got it all going last night but also managed tomato myself VR Sick checking out ISS program LoL so I stopped. Cheers for your help bud.:thumbup:

hi all, Does anyone know of a step by step setup guide using Oculus Quest & DCS? I have just received my new Quest and have managed to get a display on it but not the Look around VR view! I am probably missing something obvious but as a total newb to DCS and recent returner to PCs I am not sure what. Any help greatly appreciated. Hi, recently broke into VR with oculus quest and I was intending to use Bose QC noise reducing headset but I noticed the quest has two ports for external headsets. would I need a splitter cable for the end of my headphone cable? Also have been thinking about voice attack, would I be better off getting a dedicated gaming type headset with built in mic?? Opinions please thanks

Hi all, apologies if this is wrong place to post but I am thinking of getting a warthog throttle and joystick controller and I want to know whether they are worth the cost if I'm using VR?? Just go an ordinary joystick at the moment and can't afford monitor upgrade and the Warthog so would like your opinion guys. Cheers

I always thought an OLED display was better than LED ( don't know why LoL ) as for the screen door I don't notice it so not a big thing for me. As far as refunding goes I bought the system on ebay as new and only a few weeks old still in original wrapping so I can't send it back!! As I said other than the pain in the rear trying to sort a cable out I am over the moon with it and don't intend to spend much on VR games as such. Purchased mainly to check out the VR in DCS World before eyesight wraps its' hand in completely!!! Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated.

Thank guys, unfortunately I had already jumped on the Quest. First looks ar setting up blew me away, I have next to no vision on my left eye and need glasses for close up ( less than 12 ft ) for the right eye. When I tried the Quest I found I did not need to wear my glasses and everything seemed as clear as a bell.!!! I am hoping the picture in DCS will be as mind blowing!! I will post once I get the USB 3.1 cable sorted as it now seems there is not only a world shortage of oculus gear but also the supporting cables needed for LINK !! Go figure. Cheers

Hi mate. I may have not put the initial question quite right, my motherboard does not have any built in graphics and the PCIE graphic card is an EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 ti 11Gb which only has 1xxHDMI and 3 Display ports. The LINK input on the Oculus QUEST is apparently a USB C connection so my problem is how do I connect ( if even possible ) from the PC pr graphics card to this input on the QUEST. Can you help with this or am I missing something basic?? Thanks
