We really do not need a war with Iran. It can only end very baddly. They only way to win a war in the middle east is to steam roll the entire country and kill almost every one. Then, take over. This "soft war" crap we have been doing has not worked, at all. Just like Nam. Fighting a war like that is not PC any more, so it wont happen. Only thing that will happen is a lot of people will die for no reason at all.

I think Trimmer is one of those things that is a bit tricky at first, especially with out a FFB stick. My basic rull is hold it while manuvering. Once pointed where I need to be, let off. Make any fine adjustments that are needed after that. I also have the heading switch for the auto pilot programmed to my HOTAS. It's handy for things like rocket runs. It allows me to freely use rudder with out having to fight the AP. Then I flick it back on for basic navigation.

In the US, pay is more about your pay grade than your job. And your pay grade goes up with rank, for the most part. Figure most fighter pilots are LT's. So, they don't get paid a lot. You pretty much walk out of the accadamy at LT. And you need the accadamy to be a fighter pilot. It's pretty much officer only.

The gaming industry has dumbed things down as it's become more mainstream. Just like network TV, it's dumbed down for the masses. The sad thing is that this is mostly caused by the explosion on the console side. If you look at the games coming out for PC, all but a couple RTS and MMO games are just console ports. No one wants to make deep and rich games any more. Sims and deep games are to complex to make so they get tossed aside form simpler games that can be tossed out very quickly. I have 20 years of gaming under my belt now. I've seen a lot. I think great gaming died in the 90's and first couple years of 2000's. Not must truly great has come along since. Only new really good and richly complex games that I have seen are Empire: Total War, DCS:BS, and to some degree the Half-Life games. That is about it. Not that I'm not having fun with others.

I have seen this too.

Jocman's Cockpit (will be a long, long work....)

Like I said, high speed with a very light touch. Same idea as using a lath. -
The only true Fermi cards are the 470 or 480. Any thing else is not worth getting. With my new job at MicroCenter, I get a great discount on EVGA gear. Guess who is starting a new build that will have at least one 480 in it with water.

Never really noticed the bugs you mentioned. I do like the new engine sounds and rotor sounds. Feels more rich than before.

They only make driving pedals, and no they are not FFB. They gas is pretty standard stuff. The brake can have a optional load cell that feels like a real brake, and the clutch uses a magnetic sensor much like an ABS sensor on a car. This makes it more presise in clutch engagement. Why would you want FFB driving pedals any way? In all my years of autox and time attack I've nev3er felt any thing in the pedals aside from ABS vibrations or warped rotors. But in both cases you feel it a lot more in the wheel and your butt.

Thanks for teh link. Vecko, what are you reffering to before? The only oddity I noticed before was that the outside noise was what you heard at first, unless you went to an outside view and then switched back to cockpit. Other than that it all seemed fine. Unless I was missing something.

The bit can catch at chip or crack the plastic when doing that. -
He means a kick, as in it pushes back. The system involving dampeners only controls speed of movement. Where as a FF systems pushes back at you or away. Depending on the situation. It moves the device, or kicks the device around.

Tip I was given when working on simaller material. Put making tape on both sides. Then use a high speed drill press and use very light pressure. Works like a charm. You can buy or build a simple rig to make a standard drill work like a press. I just made one with spare parts. Only had to buy a rack/pinion gear and a hydrolic dampener to hold the dril in place. Cost my around $40 US for parts. -
I believe TM uses the magnet to produce more relistic brake feel. But the TM are not that great of wheels/pedals. The top dogs in the pro sim racing are the Fanatec GT3RS with Clubsport pedals and the Logitech G25/27. Many Logitech users also get the Fanatec Club Sport pedals. That is what 80-90% of the pro sim racers are using unless the go full custom set ups that cost over $2000 for wheel, pedals, and custom shifter.

I've never used the search light. Seems a bit cumbersome. How far out can it reach?

I think he is referring to on call CAS. That is not something choppers are normally used for. Choppers are normally close enough to be scrambled pretty quick if needed or will be sent in to cover infantry and vehicle movement from the very start. Then normally wont just be hanging out some place waiting to be called in. The A-10 can do this because it has a greater loiter time plus can take advantage of mid air refuelling. So, they can fly all day until the need to go back to rest the pilot or run out of weapons.

Noticed a small but very noticable bug after the watch. Durring a cold start, when you press the start button for the second engine the first engine cuts out. It's still running but the audio cuts out. Also the Vikhrs are extremely quit. I almost can not here them now. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? Thanks in advance.

Ok, made sure I had the INS and INS heater on while the APU fired up. Works a lot better. lol I guess I just missed it the last time.

Well, I've never messed with the LUA files. What do I need to do it? Just use notepad or a special reader? Any idea where the edit could be found so I can make the change? Thanks yet again.

Also, before the patch, radio text was on the upper right, now it's upper left corner. My GPU info is in that corner, is there a way to move the radio messages back to the right side? Thanks.

Thanks guys. It was from a cold start and going off of memory. I must have forgot the switch on the back pannel. I've never had any issues in the past. If I forgot a switch it's my bad. Normally I hit that as teh APU fires up. Anywhere I can get a detailed change log for the patch? The only thing in the readme is multiplayer compatability with FC2. Thanks again.

I've been away for a few months. Life has been, interesting. I came back to so some BS and noticed a new patch. I installed it and now have some issues. I no longer get the low speed velovity line on the hud. The one that shows drift so you can correct it. Speed read out comes and goes. And when I hit auto hover all the auto pilot functions shut off except ALT hold. That one goes from off to on and the chopper starts to buck around like a angy bull. Is ther an explanations some place for all of this? How can I go back to the old one? Just instlla the old patch over the current one? Thanks guys

Nothing like having a pipe so big nothing slows you down. I can download and game at the smae time and not have connection issues.

I was reffering to my time zone. -6 GMT or Central Standard time. Hope that helps.

I'm gettign on just fine. But about this time it gets so slow I can not watch anything. Really ticks me off since every other site or file DL is blazing fast at the same time. I'm actually downloading a file right now at 2.5mb/s and was playing some Bad Company2 while downloading. I love having a fat pipe but for some reasonI can not use it on youtube from about 3pm-9pm local time.
