You would not need much. It's open source. Heck, even any one that can do a bit of coading could make a basic app to show some info on. Make it an EKRAN, nav info, PVI-800 display, just about anything you can pull from the game with.

So, is the mod multi player only or does it come with a campaign? I'm more of a solo RTS player. Not good enough to play online. lol

Good spot. Also, EVGA Classified likes Crucial and Corsair best for triple channel memory. You get far better performance and more overclocking ability.

Any plans to add any functionallity to the G19 in DCS? Just wondering if any thoughts have been put into a good use for the LCD screen.

Wow, this kind of evolved a bit form my OP. I play lots of stuff. I play some Bad Company 2 and even some console stuff. But I have been simming since I was about 12 or 13. Untill I picked up DCS, It had been just Falcon since Falcon 4.0 came out. Nothing else really measured up. That being said, I get a lot of free time at night after the wife goes to bed. At least 3 hours before I head that way. So, depending on my mood, I will play just about anything.

So, I just noticed DCS: BS is on Steam. Any others coming to it as well? Like a full LOMAC/FC/FC2 or some combination? I am also guessing DCS: A-10 is coming as well. If so, will DCS A-10 and BS work togethor on one machine if one is Steam and the other is boxed copy?

Looks like a fun rails shooting section. Should be a fun game for a little while.

HD TV's are sub res for most good monitors. So, you wond have an issue getting the image across the screen. But depending on your monitor, you will be going down in resalution.

I'm not dumping 2-3 times my HOTAS cost in my pedals. To be honest, I can not justify paying that much anyway.

I just use the Skval like I would on a ground unit. It's a bit harder to get a lock, but it's doable. Only other thing is set the weapons system to AA on the weapon control panel. You can even use Vikhers on choppers in AA mode. If they are coming in head on, there is a head on AA option as well. This mode changes the fuse on the missile in case it misses with a direct hit. Then the side fuses set off next to the chopper spraying it with shrapnel.

The buyers tell me nothing. lol I'm waiting on a few things. The redone EVGA x58 Classified board being one. All I know is what ever the ship date, we get them in my store a month later. Everything goes to the distribution center first.

IL-2 is about as close to a true sim as you can get aside from DCS right now. The physics are pretty good. Some where between FC and DCS. You can't just through the aircraft around. If you do they just go out of controle. I'm totally cool with helping ED make more cash. The more they get the more great titles we can expect to see.

So, I recently picked up a sales job at Microcenter in St Louis Park, MN. Once I was off and running in the store, I made a trip to the gaming section next to where I work. To my excitement I noticed a few copies of BS on the shelf. I made a note of it. Over then next week, I sold the last few copies we had to people I noticed wondering through the flight sim section. BTW, it's dominated by FSX mods and add ons. My coworkers knew nothing of the sim so could not sell it. Though I am no pro, I have been flying since last Dec so I know the sim and could explain how great it is. Now I just need to try and get some more copies in.

I recommend ordering a printed copy of the manual. Makes learnign a LOT easier.

Setting up a raid 10 with single SSD in my new build. I'm using a single 120gb OCZ Vertex 2 for the OS and 4 1TB WB blacks in raid 10. Raid 10 is pretty much two raid 0 setups in raid 1. So, you get the speed of raid 0 mut redundancy of raid 1. As long as two matching drives dont go down at the same time, you are fine.
