I'll call this a very fair price, cheaper than most other games here in Denmark, even with my work discount this game from ED at full price is cheaper than, for example Spore og GTA IV and I get a 33,3% discount!
The price is set for the western market, and to be quite fair we do have more money in our greedy little hands than most russians... hell our wall practically crap money! ;)

I guess I'll wait until tomorrow before getting this... glad I managed to get some training in with the russian version, looking forward to going through the training missions.

I'm glad we've helped you guys to enjoy the sim even more. You felt frustrated in the beggining? It wouldn't be normal if you didn't ;) BS and DCS in general is built with totaly new philosophy- the so called learning curve. First you read, then you train, then read again, then train some more and step by step you'll get there. And the deeper you go the bigger the fun and satisfaction.
I can relate to that... now most of my landings are done without killing myself or the not so innocents..
Great philosophy to bring to these more serious games.

Having had the game for a few days now, I have to chime in here... Fantastic work ED this brings combat simulations to an entirely new level.
This is turning into an instant classic IMHO.

I would guess that it is the resolution for the Skhval and Abris, not sure but that is what I would suspect.

The Mi 24 has a similar system on its tailboom, I think it is the radar altimeter (that is the radar, not the instrument).

I'm hoping for the possibility to get some manuals soon (ED releasing english versions is the key here :D) and then doing some reading... With christmas coming up, the time for this will be limited anyhow.

I don't think any release date for the demo will be coming out, My guess it will be released when it's good and ready and not a second before

I can understand the decision, it is the only sane business minded way of getting the game out. I would fear loosing some sales if I was ED. Still nuff said about that. I will be studying manuals as they get released, and I have my hands full getting a store ready for the x-mas shopping

Wags did mention that ED would offer russian version for download on or soon after the 17th, so me and many here think it will be available, still it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong

Matt stated in the SimHq interview that it is slated for a q1 release in 2009, but when the gold master is released to the publishers it is out of ED's hands
