  1. Hello ED, I just want to say thank you. Long time ago, when I haven´t had a PC, I was looking jealously to the promotion screens of PC Monitors which sometimes had the Intro videos of Simulation games running. Later when I was having a PC and got a few of those games I was so happy. That was a great feeling, to virtually sit in a cockpit and fly around like Pilots do. Lock on was great. I was able to fly great Aircrafts and having fun with my online friends. But I was somehow still missing somethings. Back at the developing process of Black Shark, when you decided not to become Black Shark just another addon to lock on but a whole new Kind of Game...Simulation...I couldn´t imagine of what a great thing you´re about to provide. I finally can live my dreams. Not only sitting in a pit and flying around, no I have to start up the Aircraft like real Pilots would have to, I have to act like a Pilot and that´s just the Base of all of it, besides nearly touch any button, switch and what not in the Cockpit. What you´ve done for us is not to create just an awesome game, you made dreams become true!!! Thats why I love you, ED. But the very very very very best thing ever is...and I am serious. Even though there´s absolutely no competition to ED in developing those kind of games, you´re absolutely fair to us. You´re providing an awesome support, you´re providing constantly information about what you´re on at the moment just to keep us posted. How many other developers are just creating a game to make the fast money...but not ED. I´ll always be a great fan of ED and again saying Thank you. :thumbup:

  4. I´ve got a question for this NO TRACK LAUNCH IHBT, thing. I´ve been reading the manual up and down and know that this message appears as theres no log. But how the hell will the damn (sorry) seeker Log onto a target? Sometimes it works perfectly, slewing onto the target, log and fire. But mostley, there happens nothings. It auto ground fixes itself and thats it, no log onto most mass object/target within the central gap of the tracking gate ...is that all because of the beta...and will hopefully work properly with the Patch...which PROBABLY could been released already?...(sorry again) :joystick:
  5. Just for be sure, the default Waypoint is the default SPI...can it be called like this? But when I want to set any other Place down there as SPI, so I´ve the possibility to slew the small Box over desired Place I want to become SPI and press (and HOLD) resp. Key combo?...Am I right? I have somehow problems to figure out the, a bit too much copmplicated formulated explanations for SPI, in the manual. I totally havent yet understood the meaning of SPI...Hope to be over it now.

  7. @DetroidDiesel As I mentioned above, this is an example. In other communities those things work well. It´s up to the community how to handle this. The Lock on Community is not familiar with this, but this is absolutely OK, since every community is different. So these posts are not stupid. These are just a different views of the things, so saying that it is stupid is forcing a special behaviour which doesnt fit for everyone. Basically I have no Problems with the way ED is going...because they are giving us an awesome stuff which is the best I´ve ever seen, and I totally believe that no other sim will ever reach the same level...thats my opinion.

  9. Yes...you are absolutely right...threats like this are pressuring the dev teams. But not the threat alone, but the hole forum...this is actually usual. Offer a public possibility to communicate with your com and you will have as many peoples who are asking for release as people are around who try to solve this...this is not unusual...this is normal forum communication. I totally believe that Wags and most of the Dev team dont really care about those posts..why should they? We are the ones who wants to get stuff of them...not the other way. But trying to tickle out some information isn´t that bad. Wags would have reacted on respective way if he´d get too much annoyed about this...I am pretty sure though. You also might be right that offer help to the Devs by the community might not be the best way..I dont know...and my example with ArmA shouldn´t compare the both games with each other (the depth isnt compareabel...so far I agree) but the community-Developer relationship. Considering the Fact that BS has been released in October 2008 (I dont care about russian or western Europe/USA release) and now we´re only a quarter away from become that release date ages 2 years...(and I really much believe that we´ll top the 2 years mark until A10C is out) how long should it take to get the whole planned DCS released and fully supported? When the last Module will be released may be no more is interested in it, cause the hard and Softwareconditions might be totally outdated (just an example) ....let me guess...if each module needs around 2 years to be released...(without any patchwork, of course), so we can call all modules our own in roundabout 15 years...no one will have win7, XP or Vista still installed then, so it might be possible to have 2 OS installed on your system, to be enabled to run all modules... (I am just a little brainstorming, but this might be the future of DCS)...remeber which OS we ran back in 1995!! I am not the person who says...ok...if no announced modules will be released..it´s ok..so I fly around with my KA 50 only...sorry...thats not my style. Thats why I am suggesting to make a coop patch release work. But...it´s only a suggestion not more or less...and all my guesses above...are just guesses...no reason to start a trouble (may be the wrong threat..)
  10. I believe that a huge part of this Community could need a better idea about how to work on a coorperative way with its developer. Dont always say it´s done when it´s done (currently there´s no other way...I know that), but what about to offer your help, to offer your knowledge, to offer the possibilities which are present in this great community? ED is releasing good stuff...that´s true...and good things will take it´s time...well...absolutely true. But why "paint the dev into a corner and set them out the pressure to release good stuff" since the community is a quite good one with massive knowledge? Will say...why not offer a cooperativ work when it comes for patch releases? (I know...there´s the ED betatestTeam already, true...but only a few, and patches need to get out fast, espacially when so much more stuff is waiting in the queue...) Best example is the ArmA Community. A quite detailed game with massive depth as well as there are lots of possibilities for bugs to hide (as expiriented after A2 release). What are the doing? They are releasing rc patches for the interested part of the community to test and report bugs back to the devs...the result is an inplementation of the com to use/share their knowledge to finally get a good result without any kind of annoying repeatedly asking for release dates...and no bugs. ArmA2 in current status runs better than any Version before. ED should involve the com much more and I am pretty much sure that the wouldn´t regret it.
  11. OK, what about this option. Post a release date and release the patch with its current status...but make sure to announce that this patch is a beta and might contain several bugs. Ask the community for help by using a bugtracker. result: Patch is out, everyone can test and report and play around with the new functions and once no bugs will be reported anymore and you fixed them you release a final patch...saying a cooperative patchfixing with Dev and com. Advantages: No one will flame you as everyone is forced to report known bugs. You have not that pressure around and we will finnally stop to annoy you with asking for releasedates..
  12. You are of course absolutely right Viper and connos...let it just stand as a try.. Of ourse everyone wants to get a full working and bugfree patch to enjoy the whole product at all, so far we are at one level. But as I posted somewhere else..I am a totaly impatiently nature... :pilotfly: :D
  13. hmmm...considering that, so it makes sense. But as the patches are allready in a test status, is it possible to say somethings about the proceeding of getting them final? Or more directly... can you already say when a release is planed/possible?
  14. If they´re really working at the FC2 bugfix Patch before focussing the BS Patch to become the promissed and always promoted feature to work, then I wouldn´t really much understand this. Why concentrating again on 2 projects whereas one needs to be finished first. Is that a strategy to distract from A-10 news?:music_whistling:
  15. Would like to know which kind of bad expiriences ED made with paypal...this is the first time I get somethings about this. I am sure that ED would earn 50% more money minimum of what they earn now if they´d enable paypal transactions...

  17. I´ve two Monitors as well...no TFT screens (yet). So my question is whether it´s possible to split those screens, one for the camera (cockpit) and the other for the shkval and/or Abris. Is the options.lua responsible for this as well? For some reasons I cant locate the options.lua, where is it located? Even a windows (7) search wont take any results displayed. Thanks
  18. You guys know but that you´re totaly off topic here, aren´t ya? I guess no one is interested in laserswords an other stuff like that. So please don´t make me and other peoples always check this threat just for nonsens.
  19. That is definately a win7 related Problem or a bug, it simply appears to be on ur site. I am running Win7 64 bit as well as I can play without any problems. The win7 thing might be up to the grafics card which might not be supported properly, so I would just make a test by using a friends gfx card and see what happens.
  20. Nice to see, that it´s going on. So I´m crossing fingers that this code of the patch will completely be free of bugs, to be release for the public within the next days...

  22. This is actually a warranted question. FC2 was announced and planed to fill the huge hole between the first 2 DCS modules...It was announced as an interim solution and now we´ve again to do what we are always doing...waiting...As long as DCS is not able to work with FC2 it is just a better Lock on...not more. In my eyes its just not a bad thing to ask for a planed or roundabout release Date as ED never provided us with such information as long anythings is finished to be released...thats annoying...Some more informative politic thinking wouldnt be bad I guess... It´s not the pain to wait at all (for an awesome and outstanding product by the way)...its the pain not to know how long to wait...

I bet I am one of the first who cries for the next module once A-10C has finally found the way into my hands...:doh:.   24. Is it possible to give us a state of progression in developement of the A-10C Modul in percent? You know we all are pretty much exited about this....although FC2 provides much fun and shorten time to wait for next modul, so we cant wait anymore to see this awesome plane in Action. By the way, apreciating all your effort on this awesome Simulator so much...
  25. it appears that Black-Shark needs to get updated due to the fact, that FC2 hasn´t been part of the actual plan by ED.
