Does everyone here keep their firmware updated? Is it necessary for me to update it?

All, A pretty simple question, but it is important to me. If I get a TM warthog HOTAS, can I simply plug it into my USB ports and go play, or do I need to download drivers (or get them from a cd if it comes with one) and install them? If I do need to install drivers, do I need to make sure not to plug the thing in before starting the drivers setup? I am paranoid after my Saitek x52 drivers nearly bricked my computer.

The autoupdate starting installing the most recent versions (I have A-10C and FC3 on DCS World) and I clicked cancel because I had to do something else. Now I want the update to start downloading again but when I launch the game it no longer auto checks for the updates. How do I restart the auto updater?

Does anyone think We will ever be able to activate fc3 on steam?

So, I just upgraded my ram count to 8gb. I am installing DCS World and by default it installs it into c:/programfiles. In order to take advantage of the extra ram, do I need to install it into c:/programfiles(x86) ? Or is that irrelevant? Thanks

Can someone who has a build similar to mine post their in game graphics settings? Also their Catalyst settings? I'm confused because I have my CPU running at nearly 4.0GHz and I still experience inconsistent frame rates when I'm not even using super high settings.

I'm actually on 13.1. Should I go to the one you are saying that everyone rolled back to?

My PC specs are in my signature. My frame rate drop significantly whenever an airport, explosion, and any other aircraft are in my FOV (even if they are far away). I'm not sure why this is...I could be getting a smooth 60 FPS second, but the instant I look at an airport or far away explosion, my frate rate cripples. Any help? Is this a problem with AMD drivers or what?

Mastiff, this worked for me. All fixed. I went to module manager and updated through there. Not sure how that works since the DCS World version doesn't match the version of FC3, but i'll go with it :thumbup:

ED. Purchased off the website, downloaded using the torrent. I don't think FC3 is even on Steam. I downloaded "FC3_1.2.5.16184.220_226.exe" Looks like the FC3 I downloaded is 16184, and I need 16508 :/

Hi all, I just bought FC3. I tried to install it and I got this message. "Can't install FC3 1.2.5.16508. Please, download FC3 1.2.5.16508 installer." I'm assuming this is because of the recent DCS World update, and the new FC3 update isn't out to match it. Is there a temporary work around? I want to fly now! :pilotfly:

Hey all, I've already got DCS A-10C, but i'm interested in FC3. Are there a good amount of people on here who play FC3? I don't want to buy it if there are very few people playing it since the multiplayer component is important to me. Thanks.

Hey all, So far I only have one DCS product (DCS: A-10C). I have this standalone and I did not purchase it on steam. However, I would like to have it on steam. Do I need to repurchase it on Steam or can I somehow activate it on Steam? I feel like this relates to the most recent community update but i'm not sure. Thanks!

DX11 I know this is probably the wrong forum to ask this in but... Since the Nevada map will work with a new engine, does that mean that the aircraft you fly in the map will also be affected? Say I am flying the A-10, will the A-10 be rendered using the new engine, or only the map? Also when flying in the Nevada map will the new engine take advantage of more cpu cores?

This is going to be so much fun... I just hope that nothing is overpowered. I can see SAM's, when controlled by humans, being extremely lethal. What is five sams position themselves in a very large radius cirlce? And once the aircrafts gets near the middle they all fire at once? There would be no escape :D But then again, no aircraft should ever fly alone or go in without SEAD. There will be a lot more strategy required here once CA is released. EDIT* Just thought i'd say at first, I was skeptical about DCS World though. Now it seems like it has the potential to improve the DCS experience ten fold.

So even if I don't want to play as a sam or tank, just shoot at other humans controlling them, I need to have CA?

wow...I have been behind on a lot here. I haven't been keeping tabs on this community for a while and have some questions. So let me get this straight, once CA comes out, humans will be able to play as jets (A-10C, third party jets, next dcs fighter), or choppers(KA-50, third party stuff), OR tanks, and sams? All in DCS World? So basically now all battle assets can be controlled by humans? Right? If so, this is going to be amazing. So it's theoretically possible with CA to have a battlefield with only human players, no AI, that includes tanks, sams, and jets and ground troops? EDIT* Also, in order to be able to play with humans controlling tanks or sams or whatever ground objects, will I too need to purchase CA? All I want to do is fly the jets, but it would be rad to shoot at human controlled tanks :D

Hey all, I only have DCS A-10C. Im gonna do an uninstall of it (i havent used it in forever), download the latest version of A-10C, and install that. After I do this, how do I get DCS World? Do I need DCS World to play online? Im confused by this whole thing haha.
