Legolasindar Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 (edited) Oh sorry, i not understand first time. Yes you syntaxis run very well, good work. And you show me one issue of my profile, not mouse axis, is spotlights are wrong programed axis. I corrected for next version of my profile. "Hold" means to keep pressing the button. Normal, you press and release. Hold, you press and no release for X seconds. When you like shoot cannon long time, you press and hold for x seconds. TonyP Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Throttle Forword/Back As Collective? Legolasindar, is there a way via the BlackShark Options/Control menu to add a collective up/down by assigning that task to the Cougar throttle?
Lange_666 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 If i remember correctly, the default BS setup has your throttle (Joy Z) mapped to another control than the collective. Just simply highlight this control and remove (clear) that assignment and re-set it on the collective control input. TonyP Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Lego and Lange, I must be obtuse and somewhat backward, but I looked at the BS Thrustmaster assignments and I could find no [JoyZ] button mapped by BS in the Options/Control listing for the Cougar. I then looked at "Add Asignment Panel" and saw no JoyZ listed as available. Any suggestions or what I doing wrong?
Lange_666 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 It's on the bottom of that list called Joy_Z (at least here it is, i have 2 controllers hooked up and the Cougar is first on the controllers list in Windows, could be important) although it will show up as Joy Z (without underscore) once assigned. If you don't have that, maybe BS isn't detecting every controller or it misses part of a controller. Be sure to select "Axis Commands" to get a axis only overview of controls. Maybe plug-out --> plug-in will help? If not, a screenshot might bring a little help. Loz Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) Does anyone know what "Joy_?" is used for the Cougar Microstick. Just want to keep things simple at the moment, without programming the Stick. Yea I know, not making the best use of the Cougar, but for the life of me I can't correlate what loaded with Legolasindar's profile and what was shown on the JPEG. Most didn't seem to use the commands as shown. ?? :helpsmilie: Just remembered another problem that occured with Foxy when trying to amend the .tmj with the Trim additions from Rohnt in the "Cougar owners must read" thread. Firstly the layout as read by Foxy was all wrong, with no spaces between I/ O/, and the command, but even when I sorted that all out, all I got was a Compiler Error in Foxy, which I've never seen before?? Any help Much appreciated. In my profile, you downloaded last corrected version? In the past i uploaded old version i thinking is 1.3, but is 1.0. I corrected the uploads and update the posts. You have this correct version 1.3? Look in you RTF what version is. The modified version of the trim of Rohnt is used in my profile. No need add more trim syntaxis for use same version of Rohnt, my trim is not diferent, is expanded. If you have errors with syntaxis of Rohnt is because spaces are not only error. This forum no run well in the copy-paste, other cause is /P and /R need go in the same line, for example. Sorry is i understand you incorrectly, my english is bad. Many thanks to both of you (Lange and Leolasindar) for taking the time to help me out here. I think I'm there now and put a lot of it down to not having worked with Cougar files for sometime now. I'm just going to have to move the trim button down to 4 Down as that is where it used to be on the Wessex HC Mk2 (similar to the S 58 ) that I flew for some years in the RAF (mind you that was some time ago LOL) Out of interest, that was flown with ASE (Auto Stabilisation) engaged in normal ops and the process of trimming was exactly as described for the KA 50 ie. Trim / move Cyclic / Release Trim The spring feel was incredibly stiff and didn't allow for smooth control. We did practise flying it without the ASE engaged (ready for any realtime failures, which in my 7 years and 2500 hours never happened.) When doing this we released the Trim totally and flew with a really loose (Hydraulicly overpowered) "feel free" stick, somewhat like the old Whirlwind (Sikorsky S55) A tricky busines, because if you let the cyclic go for any reason, it would fall into the nearest corner and the rotor disc would follow with potentially fatal results. Happy days. Fakum Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Ok, heres where im at so far. I have been doing nothing more than practicing manual startups and figuring out the Trim (lots of reading here and producers notes etc). I have been using Legolasindar’s Cougar profile (thanks again) with some slight modifications to suit my own desires. So far, when I am finished with my startup, I set the trimmer using the Cougar H1 switch so that the diamond is moved straight up vertically, and the bottom of the diamond is just up past the horizontal line. This is proving to work GREAT for me when doing hovering and just basic stability. NOW, when I decide to go forward, I move the Cyclic forward to say around a 15 degree pitch while holding down the Trim button (H3 up Hold) and then releasing the H3 button when I am satisfied with the position, the immediately letting the Cyclic center itself. This again is proving to work GREAT for me. Now, heres what I want to do, if at all possible. When I get to my destination, and want to slow down, I do the Trimmer Reset (S3/H3 Up). Now what this does is make the cyclic go back to its absolute center position (I think we all know that). But what I would prefer it to do is go back to the trim setting I set with the H1 button before take off. Is that doable? I know it sounds petty, but I find myself in difficult situations upon doing trimmer reset, I think we all know how she reacts as soon as you release the trim, at that point you are now focusing on getting her nose back down before she goes to wild. I found that if I struggle immediately to try and set the trim with the Cyclic, I find I set it but its also off to the left or right as well. This time could be better utilized instead of keep on trying to get the trim set. I also found no use for locking or unlocking the Cougar, reason being, I found that once I do like a 15 deg pitch forward, and lock the trim, all is well except I find the Chopper is trying to roll, ever so slightly to the right. This means I have to maintain some slight left pressure on the cyclic to keep her level. If the stick were locked out, I would wind up keeping in a slight roll (Haven’t figured that one out yet, but one thing at a time). So,,,,, any suggestions? Thanks Just as a side note Legolasindar, I read your programming for the following, but I am still not clear as to the differences are in function? By default, Black Shark has the following Trim Functions, and that is all I’m aware of: T Button = Trim T Button + LCtrl = Trim Reset,,,,,, you programming calls for: H3 / Auto Pilots / Trimmers / Hover Up= Hover On/Off~HOLD=Trimmer (Whats the difference between Trimmer and “Trim Cougar”) (as stated below?) Down= Lock/UnLock Couger Up= Parking Brake~HOLD=Trimmer Reset (Whats the difference between Trimmer Reset and “Trim Cougar Reset”) (as stated below?) Down= Trim Cougar~ HOLD= Trim Cougar Reset Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
