F-22 Model finish. Just pilot remaining. Animations %80 finish. And damage models remaining. Still we have much work on it.

Ok cool, thanks for reply.

We are in the process of acquiring our pilot (although I do have a model of one that could be used).

I'd be happy to let you have the current one to get you on your way.

I'll pm you a link when i upload when back at work tomorrow.

Thank you Ells228.

And is it possible to add a 3d cockpit to F-5?. I will replace SR-71 to F-5 and i want to make a little 3d cockpit for F-5.

Well, when you use the F-5 it will use the SU27 cockpit in game (i think).

You can overwrite the 3d model for SU27 but need to line up the guages as you can't change the position.

Hi guys. Can someone help me for that shadows on the plane?

As you can see that shadows isnt same as with other planes. And my plane is not shining. And wings more light than hull;

And how can fix my canopy too like other planes. For example i like 3GO Su-27 canopy.

The shine effect you can set in the material editor in 3dsmax. Also check what color the ambient color is in material editor. It will affect the shadow color of the plane. I usually have my ambient color the default grey color, but you can experiment with different colours for different result.

Hope this helps:)

Looking good btw!:thumbup:

@VireVolte_tigrou

Didnt work mate. Also my full shadows are bugged. Whole plane is grey.

@OldCrow

I tryed with white and grey, but still looks same. And i dont touch the opacity options. Maybe i should try with green or any other different colours. Thanks for reply.

In the material editor, for a good shine bump up the specular & gloss levels for the materials. As far as materials showing up dark it all depends on what your specular, ambient, and shadow color of the material is set to, make it white or a very light gray, and it should fix it.

you can add a hdri map at the refl glossiness of the material and see how it's workin...dunno, for me it works but only with vray renderer..

well well, old crow is on the right track.

when you are in 3dsmax and have opend your model you have to assign a material to your canopy glas.

after that you go into the lomutilities.

there you see a box thats says pick material. you choose the material of the canopyglas. then you say get data, after that you go into the box obove and choose the material canopy glas.

this replaces the settiings of the former material to the setups of the lockon material. after that you say get data again. this should be it.

after that you can unwrap the area and set up everything you like, but be aware, you have to use the standart materials.

no vray no nothing.

to change the color of the glas you have to unwrap that area , make a bmp or if you like a tga file and apply to the diffuse map and the opacity map.

i have a white tga or bmp i use for the eagle and have set the opacity to 5.

i can only say, if it is done right it looks awesome, although i would like to have the material a bit more transparent, but that is something i cannot do anything about :-)

i hope this helps alittlebit.

if not just pm me and i might be able to help out more specific

F-22A Raptor Update

Just a small update on the F-22A since it's been a while since progress has been shown. I'm now working on it with Alpher, and am fixing some things here and there. The model is almost finalized, and will be demo'ed at the American Virtual Airshow in September, and released immediately after. Just some screenshots to show progress has been made. :thumbup:

Fixed the crumpling on the fuselage and retextured a few areas and a little things done here and there. Pilot is just a stand-in (it's my VPJT pilot) and will be replaced with another one I just got a few days ago. :smartass: Model over Su-33 for similar maneuverability.

Looking beautiful Blaze!!!

Now all we need is for you to fly the Raptor and me in the Typhoon and we have a good dogfight on our hands...

I'm sensing some sort of Red Flag meet up over the Nellis range could be arranged ;-)
