If no target is designated and TPOD is in snow-plough mode, the diamond can be slewn if TPOD=OPR. But when cycling though ATRK and PTRK back to OPR, slewing is no longer possible. A simple UNDESIGNATE, i.e. to get to snow-plough, does not work either. Only double-press UNDESIGNATE to get to VVSLV and once more 2xUNDESIGNATE to get back to snow-plough works and restores the slew functionality.

edit:

Important here is, that no TDC depress designation has happened. If a designated target exists or was set during the process, then everything works as intendet (slewing + undesignate)

WAD?

And no, I mean something different:

Situation: no target designation exists, TPOD is in snow-plough mode

Step 1: TPOD=OPR, I can slew the reticle without problem

Step 2: Cycle to TPOD=ATRK, I do nothing as I can not slew anyways.

Step 3: Cycle to TPOD=PTRK, again, no slew, but I don't even want to slew.

Step 4: Cycle to TPOD=OPR. Now slewing should work again, right? But it does not.

(Step 5: VVSLV + UNDESIGNATE --> continue at Step 1)

this is WAD iirc. You need to use the cursor offset to slew the TPOD when in ATRK/PTRK.

Doesn't work on me that way.

I don't revert to Snowplow mode to get sleeving returned, I simply go back to inertial mode (diamond). So it is Inertial > Area > Point > Inertial > Area > Point > Inertial > Area > Point etc etc...

So I don't see any reasons to use a Offset when I can go for moving the TPOD anyways without ever going back to Snowplow.

And then if I am in the Point Track mode, I can initiate Offset cursor and get the TPOD jump on the new designated target. But if I am in Area Track, the TPOD doesn't move anywhere, until I move back to Inertial mode and then TPOD jumps to that general direction where I designated but not to that exact point. Need to find out what is causing such a jumping.

Regarding [CANNOT REPRODUCE, TRACK PLEASE] - see attachment.

In this track you see me trying to slew, starting from snow-plough. I cycle through OPR (works), ATRK (no slewing, as expected), PTRK (no slewing, as expected) and then OPR again - but here slewing should be possible again, but isn't.

I then do the same once more, ATRK, PTRK and back to OPR, but there still no slewing possible.

Then I designate a target (TDC depress), the reticle changes from the small cross to the designated tgt diamond and then slewing is possible again. Cycling + trying to slew though ATRK and PTRK once more and in the end back to OPR. There the designated target diamond is still active and slewing is also still possible.

In short, when returning from PTRK to OPR with no designated target, slewing the "no designated target" reticle does not work for me.

I have the same issue as you, came here to see if it had been reported already.

-No target designated, pod can be slewed in snowplow.

-Switch to area track, pod can't be slewed (functions as it should with offset)

-Switch to point track, pod can't be slewed (also functions as it should with offset)

-Switch back out of point track mode and pod behaves as if you are still in area track or point track, cannot be slewed.

If you designate a target (TDC depress) then you are able to slew the pod

Please PM me if you think something has been overlooked, sometimes we do miss reports, I am dealing with hundreds of reports over the whole forum, so a PM would be appreciated.

I will take another look at this today.

thanks
