P-51D dogfighting night

Hi everyone,

I'd like to invite any community/squad that flys the P-51D or any individual who flys the P-51D and wishs to do dogfights with several communities, this is the place to join.

Communities attending -

IAF - Israeli Community, hosting the event.

Anon6 - Anon6 tactical group play, managing the event.

Every Friday, at 13:00 PST (GMT -7).

sign me up in general...dont know whether i can make it this friday, but you can count with me on a regular basis i guess.

Geez where was all this enthusiasm, when I was running Team Combat League for Competition Dog Fighting ...where I had Tournaments and prizes offered..

Well if DCS Israeli starts a big growing trend, well just maybe I will start up my Competition site once again...:music_whistling:

Last two Fridays have already been lots of fun - attending. :)

We already have between 10-20 guys attending weekly.

Bear in mind that these dogfight nights are pure fun, there's definitely the casual competitive between both sides but all is done in good mood and good company.

I think I ran into you guys a week or two ago. The fps drop that happens with all of those guns firing was pretty bad. I'll make sure to lower my graphical settings before I dive in!

Will it be possible to spectate? Max realism/difficulty settings mean that spectating is impossible, unfortunately--a conundrum for me, as I only enjoy flying on max realism, but I cannot fly for the time being due to my health problems. I'd like to spectate, if it's possible.

We might reconsider having outside views for self only which might allow spectating.

I still think that if you are available, its also nice to meet everyone on the teamspeak, so I recommend joining anyway.

That'd be about the same as bailing out, so don't bother--I can just spawn & bail for the same effect. I might pop in and see if I can see anything.

Looking forward to the event today. Had a lot of fun the last two times and I'm getting better each time. :joystick:

According to the Combined Arms manual, it should be possible to add so called 'Observer' slots which might enable people like Echo38 to watch the action. However, I'm not sure wether those require the Combined Arms module or not.

Observer. Cannot play as JTAC or control ground units, but has unlimited camera access to observe the action.

You need to enter our Teamspeak for the event to get the password to the server itself and just to get to know everyone, we also use the TS for comms while in combat which is ofcourse excellent.

Which version of DCS are you running? If it's 1.2.6 I cannot participate because of the ffb joystick problems. 1.2.5 is good.

Will try to be there now that 1.2.6 is back on. I have a squadron that gathers Friday and Saturday nights, so I may log in on your TS, then go back to mine. It'll be the best way to get my guys interested if I tell them how things are going.
