Not sure if that's a glitch, but this red button looking thing still exists in the 1.29 version of the sim. See screenshot attached. Any idea if this button looking thing is normal or indeed a glitch?

Lol... a persistent one, staying alive between updates.

Strangely enough, the real one doesn't have that "bug" sitting there... :)

For me, it looks like a push-button from the cyclic stick that, inside the 3D application while making the cockpit, ended up there somehow and was forgotten to be cleaned up.

It's not a big deal, but once you see it's there, you cannot unsee it.

So, to me this is a valid -- albeit small -- bug that should be addressed. :)

It could be a grounding strap. All of the grounding straps in the aircraft are secured with a screw that is painted red. There are hundreds of them all over the place inside the airframe. I don't remember if there is one at this location or not...I will have a look at work tomorrow.

Ah, interesting. Could you confirm anything regarding this idea? Thanks.

I looked on both of our aircraft in the hangar and neither has a grounding strap in that location, so I don't know what it is supposed to be in-game.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about, in this particular instance, it's a grounding strap on the copilot's collective:

Thanks for checking this out AlphaOneSix. I appreciate the photo reference as well -- interesting stuff!

I guess the thingy in the cockpit is a graphics glitch and should be treated as such. Would be nice if Belsimtek adds that to their to-do list. :)

AlphaOneSix -- your assumption was correct! I just got a reply back from the Russian forums and they said that this is indeed a ground connector for the KI-13 compass. So, this is not a bug. :)
