TAW DCS Division is looking for ATC, GCI, AWACS and JTAC members!

The Art of Warfare is a gaming organization with over 2,800 active members. TAW’s DCS division, is a DCS community with more than 60 active pilots. We are looking to increase the level of realism in our private events and on our public servers.

In addition to incorporating the Universe Radio mod into our flights, we are looking for applicants for a newly formed fire team within TAW’s DCS division, who will handle; ATC, GCI, AWACS and JTAC.

The new fire team is destined to be the backbone of future TAW events.

If you are new to this subject, no worries we have an extensive training program in place to bring the best out of you.

We don’t differ on native language or race but the applicant must be able to fulfill the roles for this service in fluent English.

For more Information on the application process, visit TAW’s DCS forums or contact our Public Information Officer BlueKnight.

Or reply to me (Dutch Baron) or post a reply here.

can you elaborate a bit more on the comitment that you expect from the potential recruts (fixed days a week, number of hours etc) because the read on your webside sound pretty demanding (2 month of training)

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

Plan is 2-3 hours during week as training and practice on our mandatory Sunday which is max 2 hours. Out over that it's up to your team to plan any event on the public server at your own time. I will provide licenses for LotATC Client and DCS CA for the first 5-10 that we accept as controllers. I will have a interview with each applicant. I don't plan on using all your time, there will be plenty of time to fly with all our other teams on regular bases. It is much up to each member what level he want to reach. The training in based on the official military and FAA documentation. We require no skill other than clear voice and some knowledge of English. All communication for these positions will be based on English brevity.

The training and attendance is really flexible for these positions, it is all up to the member how much he will put in to this but we like all to be really professional of course. We will invite to open events and also hold closed events with our virtual squadron friends and for that we will require the skills to be trained. There is of course some tasks, like airport ground, that can be done easily after a few hours of training.

We are getting there with our recruiting campaign. Join us now to get in to the training early! :joystick:

TAW EU Battalion had a great internal event Sunday with human ATC for 4 airports and human AWACS supporting our fighters, really fun. But we are still looking for ATC, GCI and JTAC controllers. We will also start to use some of the DCS Combined Arms positions (Battle Commander, Tactical Commander etc.) so if you like to move units around the battlefield you should consider to apply.

Applicant must commit to our Code of Ethics
