DCS Won't Open

Remove mods if any and do a repair. Try vanilla start first.

try to remove update kb4532693, it was the culpript in my case

I've done two DCS repairs to no change and two different restarts.

I had the same issue. Turns out my antivirus thinks DCS.exe is a virus and is automatically deleting it out of the bin folder. I have to restore the file and disable the file scanner before trying to boot DCS. Adding it to the list of exceptions doesn't seem to fix the issue.

Yep... I had to switch off the virus protection, perform a repair and then launch.... I just had to remember to switch on the virus protection when I finished. I couldn't whitelist the file...

Will this get fixed at some point?

I had the same problem. Apparently McAfee Live Safe thinks DCS.exe is a Virus and tries to Quarantine it. I figured out if you restore or repair the DCS.exe file and turn Real Time Scanning to Off DCS 2.5.6 works

If you add the DCS.exe found in the bin folder to the excluded files for Real-Time Scanning, you should be able to start DCS 2.5.6 perfectly fine. If you don't see the DCS.exe, repair DCS.
