Hi guys, A little confused here. The hind seems to be munching my FPS like crazy, with most modules i get 50/60FPS with decent settings, but with the hind I am barely getting 30! Any ideas whats going on? any settings I can look at to smooth it out? See my settings below. MSI z16 laptop with 3060 32gb ram I7 11800H

Framerate is 80 instead of 90 fps in menu in VR (even went down to 65 or so in one of my experiments when I deleted the DCS folder in Saved Games). For me this is a meaningful loss of fps, given how hard it is to get good performance, also I have always had solid 90 fps in the menu regardless of settings. CPU frametime seems to be very low so it looks to be something related to the GPU. I updated Nvidia drivers, windows itself, and I'm on DCS latest version. I deleted fxo and metashaders folders in Saved Games/DCS to no effect. I have a 2080 Ti, Reverb G2, 64 GB RAM and M2 ssd. No settings have changed since the onset of this issue. Please advise! Thanks in advance cc @Flappieif you don't mind me tagging you on this, I've heard about your wisdom and hope you may help me to find a way to diagnose the cause. Thank you

Hi all. Can someone help me please? My name is Dave & I'm a DCSaholic. Seriously though I'm hoping someone can help with an issue that's cropped up fairly recently. Up until a month or so ago, everything was running really well, even VR only stuttered once in a while, but then for no apparent reason it started to stutter & drop frames in both VR & using the pancake. I hadn't changed any of my settings on the GPU, the PC or DCS. After the MT update I was hoping that this would improve things but nope. CPU usage has gone from 15% to 39% & the FPS has jumped up, all which are brilliant improvements, but still getting the stutters. I've tried reducing the graphic fidelity, still stuttering, tried different GPU settings. ... still stuttering, & I've not dared go onto a multiplayer server & aren't even going to bother with VR until I've sussed what is happening. Does anyone have any ideas that might help please? My system has a Ryzen 5800X, 64Gb of 3600mhz RAM, an RTX3070ti GPU & I'm running DCS from an SSD. Thanks for any help in advance.

So I have an 11700F in a pre built pc (judge away) been fighting bugs in DCS VR since inception but finally got the base game (I play on standalone and mostly pve on base maps). Downloaded multithread beta and did some testing with tracks between MT and OG style threading. On MT, with the in game FPS counter, it says it's CPU capped, however, I get no bottleneck notifier in single thread. Frame difference between the two is 3-5FPS but inconsistently. Any ideas other than a new CPU and MOBO??? Full specs in comments- help me find the missing frames please!!! I did some additional testing unfortunately im not smart enough to track logs or explain this but I'll try. Capped at 45fps in Quest software, I can consistently get 35-40fps in Single thread by turning basically everything down to low and a couple items to medium. However, same exact settings in MT, I still get wild fluctuations from 22fps to mayyyybe 32 was the highest I saw. The only explanation I have for this is that my single thread game is installed to the nvme and multithread beta is installed on an external USB 3.0 ssd. I MAY have answered my own question but im coming to the pros seeking advice and correction if I haven't. I'm not looking for wild 120fps on the oculus, just a good balance of being able to read DDIs and go from being heads down in the cockpit to heads up without frame drop or hitching that causes me to miss things. My tests were done using a low level track about 60sec long on an empty caucuses map in the F18, and similar results were duplicated in the uh1h. I was flying about one day and had to go into the map. When I got back into cockpit view I had a lag spike that wouldn’t go away. So I quit the game and restarted my PC. I started to open the frame counter and saw my frame time went from 22 all the way up into the 90’s. My frames go down from 35-45 in each eye, down to 5-8 and you bet it makes it unplayable in VR. I noticed this about 6 months ago and it happens nearly every time I go into the F10 map, with few exceptions. I’m not sure what kind of track files you’d want to start with, but I sure could use some help squashing this bug.
