First post! Yeah me! I have decided to start my own thread here to put up all my static templates and miz files of the main PBs, FOBs and COPs for TF Helmand (The British ones mainly) and then the complete miz file with them all included in one place. This is a pretty big task so it is all a WIP. Completed TF Helmand_Nadi Ali - PB Pimon TF Helmand_Sangin - PB Pylae TF Helmand_Sangin - PB Tangiers TF Helmand_Sangin - PB Wishtan TF Helmand_Sangin - FOB Jackson TF Helmand_Nadi Ali – FOB Argyll TF Helmand_Now Zad – District Centre TF Helmand_Now Zad – ANP Hill TF Helmand_Gereshk – FOB Price WIP TF Helmand_Lashkar Gar – TF Helmand HQ TF Helmand_Lashkar Gar – FOB Bost TF Helmand_Upper Gereshk Valley – FOB Gibraltar TF Helmand_Kajaki - FOB Zeebrugge TF Helmand_Kajaki - OP Normandy TF Helmand_Kajaki - OP Sparrowhawk TF Helmand_Kajaki - OP Athens TF Helmand_Sangin Valley – FOB Nolay TF Helmand_Sangin Valley – PB Viking TF Helmand_Sangin Valley – PB Waterloo TF Helmand_Sangin Valley – COP Robinson TF Helmand_Upper Sangin Valley – FOB Inkerman TF Helmand_Musa Qaleh – District Centre TF Helmand_Musa Qaleh – FOB Edinburgh TF Helmand_Musa Qaleh – OP Roshan TF Helmand_Garmsir – FOB Delhi TF Helmand_Garmsir – FOB Dwyer (Already on the map so not sure what to with this one as it was the 105 gun fire base for support of FOB Delhi). And more to be added to the list…. Each of the FOBs will be recreated as close to realistic as I can possibly make them within the limits of the DCS Mission Editor, using my own and many other sources. They may not all date to the exact same time period or year either, but they will all be within 2006-2008/9 hopefully. Also I will not be using any mods so they will be accessible for all without the need to download anything else or increasing the chances of these being broken as DCS updates. If anyone has any ideas or wishes please do reply! Hopefully someone will get some use or enjoyment out of these! All of these templates are hidden. To reveal them on your map you will need to go to map options in the mission editor and unhide blue units! The first of many! TF Helmand_Nadi Ali - PB Pimon This is my new and improved PB Pimon as it has been resized to be correct, the last one was twice the size it should have been! Oops! The static template can be downloaded from here; https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3339481/

Hi Developers, Could you add a option to create a template of different selected static objects. Sometimes, while editing, one would like to use the same group of statics on different places on the map. Now it is only possible by creating a group of controllable AI planes or vehicles. So in other words, one must repeat all the same static setup all over again. The same handle would be great to be able to create a group of static objects too. ** MISSION EDITOR - ADD/CREATE TEMPLATE - STATIC GROUP - (hold CTRL and select static objects) - SAVE TEMPLATE. Kind regards and thank you for this great simulation

Hey All, I struggle with a problem with the mission editor and the use of static templates. After loading a static template, I can't run the mission. I get asked to save, but, no matter if I do or do not save the mission, the editor window stays open and the mission does not load. Any Ideas??? I believe the issue appeared long ago, so I don't think it came with the last update. I run the last open beta version. Thank for any ideas and help in advanced.... Edge

Hi all. There is a big bug with Static Templates nowadays. Inserting one can cause all your current mission units to reset their difficulty to 'veteran' when they are airplanes and such, and 'blank' when they are ground units To check the bug, just do as follows: 1) Start an empty mission in any map 2) Place for example an airplane and tank anywhere in the map and specify the difficulty values for them 3) Save it as Static Template 4) Create a new mission 5) Put once again some airplanes and ground units just to check 6) Load the static template we created beforehand Result: The existing units within the mission will have reset their difficulty settings, while the ones added with the Static Template will be added perfectly fine

I just discovered this 'statictemplate' thing ..... copied a *.stm file with WW2 stuff, made on the Channel map, to my DCS.openbeta\StaticTemplate folder. Now i wanted to import this whole caboose to a NEW empty Normandy Map 2.0 mission but it seems impossible. Is such a template per definition only map related, in this case the channel map? ... Any tips ? Thnx. ADDED: I changed the line ["theatre"] = "The Channel" to ["theatre"] = "Normandy" with notepad++ in the *.stm file, and it worked ! Of course the locations are not right, but it might be useful anyhow. PS can you select or combine more than one differing item, like a group of Flak AAA and parked vehicles etc. some how and drag them together to a different location?
