Akena Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hi all, Kind of a new player to the game, and i love how deep it is, but I have been experimenting with the targetting pod system, but the keybinds that i set for my slew up,down, left and right aren't working. I keybinded these to the chinahat on the bottom of the stick plus the pinkyswitch as a modifier. I checked if there were other thing that were linked to the pinky switch but found non. Another thing is that i seem to be able to zoom in and out but that i can't go to the left and the right in the MFD. If anyone could help me to resolve this issue, that would be greatly appreciated Greetings Akena

I have seen many people having problems trying to map their X52 with the DCS options menu. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Akena Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Well I do already have a profile but it is completely messed up :), the blue button on the side of my throttle should have been used as the slew system but it hasn't changed from being a mouse hences why i made this other key combination. But even that doesn't get the job done.

PFunk1606688187 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Did you change the mouse control to either a directional axis or a bands set up? I've never had any problems really with using DCS instead of the Saitek software for controls. If anything I've always had issues with saitek drivers becoming twitchy and failing to produce key emulation at random moments and it would require a restart to fix it. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
McBlemmen Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 That blue mouse button is not useful for a slew control. You need to program one of the hat switches using a 4 way mode. I use it as slew controls and it works great, since on the X52(pro in my case) there arent enough 4 way switches for everything. It took a while to get used to the directions though. Do you use an X52? If so , what do you use for slew controls?

McBlemmen Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I use the lower hat switch on the stick, X52 Pro.:joystick: Hmm , i use that one as DMS control. Anyway thanks ;) Now i feel like messing around with it a little.
kk0425 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I used the hat switch on the front of the throttle with the pinkie switch as a modifier as a slew control when I still used mine. 1
Akena Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 I used the hat switch on the front of the throttle with the pinkie switch as a modifier as a slew control when I still used mine. Well i did use the pinky switch as a modifier as well but it didn't seem to work, it's so weird that it does work for you but not for me.
Blooze Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well i did use the pinky switch as a modifier as well but it didn't seem to work, it's so weird that it does work for you but not for me. I have found that when ever you modify or add changes to the profile you must clear the profile and re-activate it again before the changes take effect. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Maverick-X Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Well i did use the pinky switch as a modifier as well but it didn't seem to work, it's so weird that it does work for you but not for me. Perhaps reset the controls in DCS? If problems remain, create a profile from scratch. You could aswell use a profile available in the database or I could upload mine. But creating an own profile is useful because you know the button bindings and don't have to learn them as much
