Here is a good Video where you can see how is the real way to set a Buk Battery site.

Actually we set the Buk Battery Launcher and Radar all together. This is incorrect.

One of the most important features of Buk System is the capability to have Radar on board the launcher. So every launcher could be located at large distance from the Radar STR.

Also we should set some Tor Units to protect the Radar STR.

Actually we use to set the Buk battery like a Kub (predecessor of Buk System). The Kub System need to be Close from STR unit. The Kub Missiles are guided with the STR Kub unit, so they should be Close.

In the case of Buk,The launchers get the Datalink Signal from Command unit, giving the right orientation for the rest of launchers (in case of Buk with Radar onboard) capable of self search and track the targets.

Interesting. As it is, its quite easy to take out the radar to be safe from the buk (as long as you don't close in too much). With the radar and launcher spread out so far, it would be far more challenging to take out a buk site with an A-10. Especially if guarded with one of those nasty tor's...

But we don't have what I guess is a dedicated buk tracking radar?

I can't remember though- are they able to shoot down the SU25Ts ARMs?

They should have that capability, yes.
