Nah, they're pretty great for strafing runs against light skins as well. Sweeping down on a convoy with the GAU-8 and rockets blazing, that's about as good as it gets in DCS I reckon.

What's "unreal tournament"?

What I meant is what I wrote, there's nothing sweeter about DCS than low level strafing runs with the A-10Cs cannon and rockets.

Small question back on the 38s, Eddie once said that procedures dictate JDAMs are to be dropped on Waypoints/Mark Points and not simply on SPIs. Is this procedure sufficient:

Designate with TGP generating SPI

Make a Mark Point

Release JDAM

Or does it have to be like this:

Designate with TGP generating SPI

Make a Mark Point

Set Mark Point as Steerpoint

Slave TGP to Steerpoint

Release JDAM

@P*Funk:

IIRC that was the 30mm HE where the explosive mass was set to equal the total round mass.

Edit: Here it is, might be Gun/Rocket or both:

Increased explosive mass to all HE rounds. Explosive now mass equals the round mass. This was decided because HE rounds lack fragmentation and were very weak on regards to proximity damage.

I have noticed GBU-12 likes to miss in even slight crosswinds sometimes. What does help is keeping a stable attitude and veering into the wind slightly before pickle. Same could also be applied to the GBU-38

GBU-38's inaccurate or is it me?

I do have to admit that I recently (1.2.6+) started to note both Paveways and JDAMs are less forgiving. You need to properly place the thing on the thing for them to hit your target. This wasn't always the case in the past..
