javelina1 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Hello group, Just wanted to double check, prior to launching into this. I just finished building up a new rig, and installed DCSW onto it. The good old Toad. I'm now ready to reinstall all of my DCS modules, (I have all of them), so it took a little bit to download the new binaries. From my original rig, I just need to go into the Mod/aircraft/bin and run the tool to deregister. Then I can use the text file of my Module licenses, and input the appropriate keys/modules, and all should be good to go? My licenses are mixed bag, 1/2 came via Steam, the others directly from DCS. cichlidfan Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I saved a lot of time by dragging and dropping Training Videos and some of the other folders into my new build. I also dropped all of the aircrafts into their folders. It takes me about 10 minutes for a complete install of DCS World and every module. I do it for every major update. A clean install is worth that time. cichlidfan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 SSD is so scary I think it's great but beware of lost data.. SSD need to get better.. I have 7 SSDs in use right now, plus one in a portable enclosure. Several have been in use for nearly two years. I have not had a single issue with any of them. EDIT: It is a mix of OCZ, Crucial and Samsung, FWIW.
