In MP when you are shot down and your pilot dies instantly, you are dropped to the map view.

From there, there is no way either to refly or exit the game. Esc key menu does not work.

This happens when you have chosen to use the classic theme of windows.

Basic and glas theme works fine.

Could this be related to the sometimes happening occurence, that at entering a scenario the clicking of "Fly" doesnt do anything? Then experimenting with Alt-tabbing out and into the game could help. Unfortunately that is just a guess, didn't experience your case yet.

Nop, it is not that dcs window becomes inactive, it is completely different. You can even press some buttons in the map screen.

It is very easy to replikate, next time you go online, just change your windows theme into ''classic mode'' and enter the game, the first time you are shot you will be stuck in the map, only alt+ctrl+del will take you out so you can kill the process from the task manager and restart the game.

one thing to check is that you don't have a modifier key stuck on. tap shift/ctrl/alt (as well as any custom modifiers you have set) when this happens to make sure it isn't a frozen input from one of them.
