Severum Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I'm actually surprised I picked up the start up as fast as I did. I guess it's easy considering how old the plane is. Check Out My Youtube Channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc1wxp38k2oBAHIXUR20hjQ Like-Share-Subscribe!

According to Yo-Yo the slow run model of the engine is going to receive some more love, so expect it to get harder (more realistic) down the road. :) Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Pman Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 This is implemented. The omissions concern other topics. I didnt see it in any patch notes since Yo-Yo's post here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1932482&postcount=18 There are a few aspects regarding cold engine start and performance that I have always thought werent complete yet Perhaps Yo-Yo can clarify? Severum Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 @pman, I love flying on your server. That's pretty much the only one I fly on as of right now. Any possible way of adding the different skins on the P-51s? Or is there a way to do it that I'm not aware of? I see some people have different colors but for the most part they are that green and brown. Than another question, whats up with the L-39 and F-18? Are those also separate modules? kk0425 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I love flying the P-51 for some easy going flying. It feels pure and it's nice to get out and cruise around for a while. The L-39 and F/A-18C are unofficial mods. You can find them on the virtual aerobatic's website.
sobek Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 There are a few aspects regarding cold engine start and performance that I have always thought werent complete yet It seems i have misread your post. The need to warm the engine up is there. Also the start behaviour is different in cold vs warm weather. What doesn't work correctly now is that you can, e.g., start the engine without priming. Also apart from heightened friction from cold oil, there is no change in idle speed when the throttle is at the idle stop while it warms up etc. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Pete Yes, the steady cold engine run dependance on throttle position is ready but needs to be carefully adjusted. As it's minor in comparison of two new planes we are working now it's postponed for the moment I will have spare time to finish the work on idling.
