Exorcet Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Hi, guys! I don't know too much about this. Help please. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent Download DCS World, it's free. You'll be able to see the map there and even fly around in a Su-25T. Here is a page with an image from one of the manuals (you can download the manuals free too). http://wiki.hoggit.us/view/Airport_Charts_%28incl._Freqs,_TACAN,_ILS%29 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
Vinny002 Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) Hi, exorcet! Great! Thanks! I figured the FC3 also have the same map as the DCS A-10 and SU-25T have. Question for you, what would happen if I fly out of the map area? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent Edited April 21, 2014 by Vinny002

Pikey Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Not many of us talk about what is off the map's edge. I felt I needed to quote Yoda for truth here: "That place… is strong with the dark side of the Force. A domain of evil it is. In you must go." "What's in there?" "Only what you take with you." Be careful with your fuel. It's disorienting out there. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Miruglaskou Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 Hello :) I have one question more. I really dont know if you can understand my problem: How can I get a smoother movement @ cockpit? In some videos, I see a really nice smoothing movement on cockpit. What is this? Its 6Dof? Or something else?

Zabuzard Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 There are some very very cheap alternatives, including some where you must built some things by your own if you don't want to spend so much money on TrackIR but the original is the best anyways imo^^ You can also wait until Occulus Rift is finished then you won't need a TrackIR because the OR does pretty much the same and more.
Miruglaskou Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) Ouh, thank you for you replys. I did not think about that its hardware-side. I really dont understand this TrackIR: I have to turn my head - but I have to focus my eyes on the monitor? Its a bit weird.. But Occulus Rift would be really cool and I hope, it less expensive in the future (for example: "development kit" on Amazon: 999 € atm). :) Edited April 25, 2014 by Miruglaskou
Zabuzard Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 yeah OR will be cheaper then but lets wait. The TrackIR transition obviously is not 1:1^^ You can adjust that so you only move your head a bit around and can easily focus the monitor while doing that :)

And the human brain is exceptionally good at just that. It always tries to make sense of stuff. Therefore, it will take you about 30 seconds to get used to it. 30 minutes and it'll be second nature. More than that and you'll feel as if you've lost both your arms when you are NOT using it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I think, I dont need questions anymore. Im practice every day. Well, I going to read the manuals. Today it was my first online-flight. It was really hard. I would "join" a "club/clan/corporate/squadron" to meet new peoples and fly with professional peoples. At this point, I think, this thread is no longer needed for me. I am very gratefull for your help! Miruglaskou Edited April 26, 2014 by Miruglaskou
