McBlemmen Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) In the old one , there were 2 lights that would light up when the AB was on (They were above the RPM indicator, to the left of the radar / nav screen) I cant seem to find them in the new one, there's 6 lights where the AB lights used to be but i have no idea what tehse 6 lights indicate. Thanks (On a completely unrelated note , does anyone find the F15 to turns really poorly when taxiing? i cant seem to stay on the taxiway when having to do sharp turns :o) Edit : looking at old screenshots i can see the 6 lights are not actually new at all , they were just a little hidden in the old cockpit Edited April 8, 2014 by McBlemmen
Zabuzard Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Atm there are some light related bugs, maybe AB is one of them (look at 1.2.8. bug thread in DCS World subforum). Currently I cant test the new ACs but maybe the lights your talking about are the EKRAN warning panel or the notification lights -> take a look at the "Su-27 instruments function" thread here in this subforum. There they talked about the warning lights too :)

MTFDarkEagle Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Ahh okay , thats a little odd oO thanks! Why is it odd? - Normal gain NWS - High gain NWS (for tight turns) Makes perfect sense no? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
VincentLaw Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Makes perfect sense no?I didn't even know what I was missing until I had it. Now I want it on everything. A toggle like this would be great for aerial refueling when I don't need all that sensitivity. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
McBlemmen Posted April 8, 2014 Author Posted April 8, 2014 Why is it odd? - Normal gain NWS - High gain NWS (for tight turns) Makes perfect sense no? Well i had never heard of something like this before , so it seemed a little odd. But i guess this is a common thing
Pyroflash Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Well i had never heard of something like this before , so it seemed a little odd. But i guess this is a common thing 15 degree minimum normal NWS traverse limit, up to 45 degrees with maneuver mode. Pressing and holding the paddle switch in the real aircraft will also disable NWS and allow a full 360 degrees of nose wheel traverse Edited April 8, 2014 by Pyroflash If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
wasserfall Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 The AB indicators on the real thing are absent too. http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=96542&stc=1&d=1396974302 Intel Core i5-9600K, Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 WINDFORCE 8G
Zabuzard Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I think thats mainly because u feel when your going into afterburner on your left hand because there is a little friction at every stage: Off - Idle - Full - Afterburner etc. Afterburner also has a "push gate":
