He's right though. If i have the option of spending 20sec on checking who posted it first or administrate another thread in that time, i choose that i don't care so much about your ego than getting things done. Sorry. :noexpression:

Probably because some Tester started to read the forum from the top and came accross the more recent post first and added it into the bug database. Then he cam across yours, which was a duplicate of the bug allready in the database.

Sure, you say ego, but I go to the post that I created to report the bug to see status and now I have to go to another to see the update, when clearly mine was the original report. So your time is worth more than mine now. I deal with bug triaging, and I consider it a courtesy to the reporters to do an accurate job...

There's always a link to the still open thread to take you there, if it isn't, that's an oversight. We are understaffed as is, so precious little time to blow sugar up peoples butts. Please deal with it, pretty please.

 

And yes, our time is more valuable than yours because there's simply much less of us. If people would spend the time they complain on using the search function, we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place.

I can't speak for anyone else but if I report a bug first and it ends up being a duplicate of a later post discovered first I'd just be happy to see that it was acknowledged and reported. Which is the whole point of the beta.
