D4n Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 DCS is the only game from which I know that when I overclock my GPU I actually get fewer fps in the game... why is this so? Have a Gainward GTX 570 Phantom. Stock clock: 1.013 mV @ 749 MHz core, 1951 MHz memory My OC clock (better in BF3, but worse in DCS): 1.050 mV @ 855 MHz core, 1998 MHz memory DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. (After all there's enough hostility on the internet already which really doesn't help anyone. Thanks.) Dell Visor VR headset, Ryzen 5 5600 (6C/12T), RTX 2060 - basic DCS-community rule-of-thumb: Don't believe bad things that a PvP pilot claims about another PvP pilot without having analyzed the existing evidence
msalama Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 How about playing around with the frequencies and trying different C/M clock ratios? Might sound funny, but I've heard that you can actually get the so-called graphics conveyor belt out of sync if you use an unsuitable frequency. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

Still wouldn't explain why you'd get LOWER framerates, but it does explain why you're not getting MOAR FPS [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

msalama Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 How can my i7 2600k not handle DCS?? Sure it can. Mine does DCS just fine. As I said, play around with the frequencies and try to find the sweet spot for your system. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
