javelina1
needing a little help. For my counter measures, I have the CMSP set with all 4 switches on, and mode set to semi. (Note, this is from a Ramp start as well). I'm able to dispense flares and chaff, depending on the threat. But, I'm not able to enable my jammer. It indicates "off", rather than "stby". On two separate missions, I could not get the jammer to go on, it kept reading "off", even when I was being painted. Is there another switch I need to turn on? I can see the full amount of flares & chaff, (240 & 120, etc). Faelwolf
Have you tried pushing the CMS switch down? (straight down, not back)
howie87
Have you got one equipped on the aircraft? It will only activate if you are being painted and activate it with CMS Z in manual/semi modes. It will activate by itself if you are in Auto mode.
javelina1
Yep, I push down. Here's the thing. When I fly a mission where I'm already airborne, my Jammer is in stby, and works fine with the CMS down. What's weird, is when I've done my last 2 ramp starts, I've put the mode into stand by, flipped all 4 switches. then put the mode into semi, and I see the 240 chaff and 120 flares. but the jammer says "off". something is funky, so I figured I missed a switch to turn on the ALQ-131.. It will activate by itself if you are in Auto mode. in a moment, I'm gonna try another ramp start, and check things out again. but the jammer should at least be in "stby", right? or do I need to be painted for it to go "stby", (while in semi)? howie87
I think it should stay OFF if it has no power, SBY on standby and OPR when operating. Will have to check myself though.
javelina1
I think it should stay OFF if it has no power, SBY on standby and OPR when operating. Will have to check myself though. I just went through a ramp start, and it appears to be ok. in stand by, it's stby. I tested via a single mission. I'm going to jump on a MP server, and shake it out. thanks for the help. -Jav MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
javelina1
mystery solved... what an @$$.... you can tell how new I am to this. The reason why things aren't working in MP ramp start. When I finish my ramp start, I then load all of my ordinance. So the CMSP is set, and then my jammer is loaded. Once I went back and turned off my CMSP settings, and then restarted it, there it was. Everything was functioning like it should. sorry for the trouble... -Jav 1 MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
WildBillKelsoe
you need to map HOTAS/CMS/Z axis. That is how you turn on jammer. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow. Maverick-X
You can rearm while you do your startup, that saves time. For the jammer: simply wait till it is equiped to flick the jammer switch to on

For the jammer: simply wait till it is equiped to flick the jammer switch to on exactly, I've made that part of my ramp start now. Initiate the arming while I'm just starting up. MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control

ENO
Let me know if your Mavs ever take longer than 3 minutes to warm up. Got a bit of learning done on that little oversight this weekend. javelina1
Mine have been warming up right at the 3 minutes. you encountered something longer? (by the time I release the breaks, I have my HAWG war ready. everything ready to go. Up, running, on, and nearly warmed up. No doubt probably a no no in real life). :) MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
