Rookie Pilot seeks similar

Rookie Pilot, GSOH, Own A-10C (slightly damaged), seeks similar for enhanced online learning experience.

Hi, I have just started to migrate from single player missions to multiplayer and I'm having trouble finding (even slightly) organised activity. All of the squadrons seem to be not recruiting (or maybe its just me). Is there a Server flying A-10C with an associated Teamspeak channel for 2/3 ship training exercises?

Whats the procedure for creating/joining informal groups for sharing of knowledge?

I'm in the UK, halfway through Maple Flag's AFT qualification process, which, though very good, gets a bit boring when facing the AI limitations of the same practice exercise for the 10th time.

Cheers

Matt

If you want something casual to start off with try http://rtac.weebly.com/

I've flown with them a couple of times now and it was great fun. Just enter the teamspeak server before the missions begin. It's 21:00 for me, so it should be 20:00 for you. There's always someone there.

Also, if you just want to do some 2 player co-op, I'd be happy to fly some missions with you. I'm more often available during daylight hours though.

Thanks Boris, DeltaFox and Benargee,

I think an informal fly in on a public server and a public Teamspeak server would be good. I could really do with some practice on formation flying, landing, targeting and weapons deployment.

How about we carry on this conversation on Teamspeak? Lets set some dates/times by PM

I think I may have enough bandwidth to host a server in the long run.

Cheers

Matt

Hey guys!

I'd be in for an informal fly.

I'm only self taught and haven't done any squadron training / qualifications.

I'm in Germany - GMT+2

Did you guys set any dates yet?

Good to see the community spirit alive and well reading through this thread :) If you were in Australia\NZ I know a couple, OCB or AEF guys are always willing to lend a hand

Its a shame I didn't discover this sim while i was still there!

I moved to Germany about 4 years ago.

I do keep some pretty insane hours though so I'll keep an ear out for these groups too.

Thanks for the tip Winfield_Gold!

You're an Aussie expat too? I've been in Germany for almost 8 years now. Hit me up with a PM if you're interested in a fly!

I'm UK based, and also consider myself a self taught, no real experience with multiplayer noob as far as it goes.

I'm at the stage now where I am ready to try some formation stuff, and take it a step further.

Anyone who wants to get in touch, or meet up on the RAF Air UK website - I have just registered there - drop me a private message.

I'm very flexible regarding flying times as I am retired from the rat race.

Im on the East Coast as well, USA,, Id be interested in non hardcore action,, Ive been flying a couple years, problem is,, I keep getting back into it, only to get sidetracked with life, so I only get an hour of so at it most times. It get to a point where I forgot how to do some simple things, but pick it back up quick once I retrain myself,, looking forward to maybe hooking up here and there,, I will swing by the site.

Glad you enjoyed Neil .I was working night shifts this week so I could only briefly pop on Team Speak and say hello.

Clyde graciously sent me a copy of a mission he had made just to practice CCRP and Mavericks so if you want a copy let me know. They are a great bunch of guys and I enjoyed myself last week with them.

Hey so I've been flying with Rag Tag and they are a pretty fun group, even for moderate beginners. They know their stuff but are also pretty casual, its a good mix for me. I would still recommend doing the basic training provided by DCS before even touching multi-player anyway. I've had a few screw ups flying with them and they just laugh, its all in good fun. http://rtac.weebly.com/
