DeJohn Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Hi, I hope someone can tell me what I did wrong. Using two monitors was fine until the other day. Now the second monitor has a red background instead of the normal black, as you can see in the picture below. Any help will be appreciated.
ENO Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Loose connection perhaps? I might check the cable too just to make sure there isn't a worn out filament inside. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Winfield_Gold Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Looks like the Monitor is pulling some serious negative G's 1
hitman Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Does it happen in DCS, or is it on desktop as well? Because if its the desktop too, then you have a bad port - if not a bad video card. Looks like its just in DCS though, the MFD isnt affected.
DeJohn Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 Yes it does it to both monitors when I switch then around. But its only DCS, all other games run fine.
hitman Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Probably a background color has changed. Not sure what to tell you, did you make any changes to the lua when you added your second or third monitor? You could have changed the color when moving your CDU around...
komemiute Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 If it was the video port it wouldn't be grabbed by the printscreen...
DeJohn Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) did you make any changes to the lua when you added your second or third monitor? You could have changed the color when moving your CDU around... It happens even with the default monitor configs. It definitely is something in 128, but what I don't know. I just tried 1.2.7. and as the picture below shows everything is fine. BTW - its the same problem with 128 Openbeta. Only thing I can try is to un-install and try a fresh install ======================================= Well first I did a repair... and that got rid of the red.... however it replaced it with green screen. So I unstalled DCS and deleted all files and folders relating to DCS, rebooted the computer and re-installed DCS....Everything is back to normal now. Still don't know what caused it. Arcto10 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Hey, I noticed this yesterday as well on my second monitor. It goes away once game is closed and does not actually affect in game graphics at all. I am running my second monitor on full screen and only noticed the red tint when I Alt+Tabbed out to check something so I assumed it was something caused by alt tab....
docfu Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I get the same thing too on my second monitor for MFDs. Monitor is fine while running as extended desktop. Load DCS and it goes to a slightly odd pink color.
