zaGURUinzaSKY Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 not 1/1000th but 50%. Not bad for a software house. 50 billions $ since Microsucks exist. For the record its around 100bil not 46.5 as you said, maybe if you read the Foundaton website you'll reconsider you antimicrosoft posts. Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Are there others software house who gives all these money to poor people? Robbie.
hitman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 software house??? its his personal account! If that man were to give out all his money to homeless people in the US (my guesstimate of 15 million people ) he would give them $3100+ dollars per individual. I dont believe any man should have that kind of wealth. This is the same man that runs (ran, or is in the process of running) these software companies out of business thru monopolistic activities. I hardly think that Bill Gates gives a crap about the little person.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 software house??? its his personal account! yeah I know.. hard to think in Italian and write in english without writing some mistake duude.. Robbie.
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 btw what do u suggest then ? I can contact him if you have cool ideas. Robbie.
hitman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 A cool idea? How bout donating 46 billion to the homeless here in America.
ALDEGA Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 get linux, it's free! Free software isn't gonna make many donations for food, water, healthcare :P
zaGURUinzaSKY Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 A cool idea? How bout donating 46 billion to the homeless here in America. Alway more than what I do: http://www.gatesfoundation.org/PacificNorthwest/SupportiveHousing/ Robbie.

hitman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 And here we are still with him with 46.5 bil in is personal bank account.
hitman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 You know...heres a communistic thought right here. If all the millionaires in the US turned over their their funds, and if everyone made the same amount of money (I forget the source i got this info from) everyone in the US would be sitting on 90k a year in their pockets. Granted that would inflate prices but for one fleeting opportunity you would be able to afford all the twinkies you can stand.
benzene31 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Or maybe we need a starforceless game :D +1000 :D ive tried today the 5728 build version and i ve got again this issue with starforce http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/rc1/en/download-5728.htm
Witchking Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I am using vista RC1 ever since it was available. It is really stable and has very few bugs. However, yeah.....vista is meant for next generation PC's with flash drives and so on. Its my opinion that "Unless MS do something drastic performance wise before it is released......ppl with my kind of specs should rather use xp. Vista is great as future upgrade DX 10 stuff." Why contribute to his fortune if you are so adverse to his wealth? Talk about driving a thread right off topic. Personally, I would try the tested 'wait and see' approach before adopting Vista. For me ultimately it is not a necessary upgrade, and you can wait for the hardware, drivers, support and documentation to catch up before switching, not to mention research its caveats, whilst waiting for the initial bugs to be iron'd out.
emenance Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 While the question is good another one with that should be will everything else you care allot about with Vista............the answer is most likely NO. I started useing XP this year. I dont see anytime soon ill be using VISTA. Guest IguanaKing Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I agree with waiting. Bill might have f'd up with Windows XP...because it works so damn reliably for me. I can't think of a reason to upgrade. Win 98SE sucked, and made me wish for something better...I can't say the same of XP. Its pretty much been bullet proof. It'll be a while before I upgrade to Vista. Until then, Bill can continue to be the philanthropist and awesome human being he has been since coming into his riches. OT: I agree that the idea of giving money to homeless individuals is a little nuts. If you want to help the homeless, donate time or money to a rescue mission. They give these people a warm place to sleep, and a place to clean up so they can go out and find jobs...and become productive members of our society again. Some of these guys just need a little help, a little food, and a shower. Its hard to interview for a job when you haven't showered or changed clothes in 5 days...and the missions help them with that aspect. A hand UP...not a hand OUT. Sorry to go off on that tangent...but Bill Gates does MUCH MORE for society than most people could ever dream of.
hitman Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Who dug up this old thread??? And to defend MY rationale on Micro$oft, I just dont like Bill Gates. He's the closest thing we've had to Hitler since Hitler. Hello Anti-Trust. And as far as anything else goes these are my opinions and leave it at that. No more discussion about it.
benzene31 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Who dug up this old thread??? who know ? :harhar:
hitman Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 who know ? :harhar: I remember this discussion from when I was still in Missouri, making fun of the soldiers in boot there. "Guess what recruit, my skivvy drawers have more time in service than you do."
Guest IguanaKing Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Heh...some noob dug it up, probably on accident. Then a few of us posted in it. It sorta hit home for me, since I was researching Vista and DX10 the other night. No prob with your opinion of Bill Gates bro. My opinions are just opinions as well...doesn't mean I'm right or wrong either. :smilewink:
