WildBillKelsoe Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Is it possible to have option for real time weather update to be on par with XP10's weather or even better? I know there is dynamic weather but I like to fly in real weather. Share your thoughts Bye AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. ENO Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I think it's been requested in the past- I would love this feature. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
GripenNG Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Just check a METAR code available online and insert it into the ME. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Snooze-81st-vFS
ENO Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Okay... I've seen that sort of thing before- in another thread- but to be honest I was never able to find the right inputs. Can you point us in the right direction? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art

Can you point us in the right direction? I use: http://www.checkwx.com/ Just enter the ICAO code, and voila! A tip is to go by airfields that lay close to the mean sea level as the weather input in ME corresponds to that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Snooze-81st-vFS
ENO Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hmmm. Okay I see what that's about- thank you! I was thinking more along the lines of dynamic weather inputs. I'll have to hunt around for what I was looking at before. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art

Yeah I tried to implement RL weather systems before in DCS DW, but found it quite impossible to replicate since the size of the systems won´t fit into the tiny theathers DCS provide. The current stock Dynamic Weather is to me really bad, and a proper DW input is something to long for. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Snooze-81st-vFS
Knubinator Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I really just want an option to set dynamic weather to change the conditions every time you load a mission. Like, you can set time of day and season, and the game randomizes (with some set limits) the weather so you get a newish experience every time. Some missions that are old stand bys would get new life in them. Other than EDGE, this is what I want most in DCS. i7 4790k @ 4.4, 32GB RAM, RX480 GTR I fly it all.

I know there is dynamic weather but I like to fly in real weather. Share your thoughts Bye Hi all, It would be sweet if DCS could have real weather environment like something better than FSX - REX - http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/ With real METAR updates and NOTAM air space info simulating real world flight.........can you imagine.............. http://media.tumblr.com/17dcdb096e96d446f1ca512b6d2d3368/tumblr_inline_n8o4mb7zOC1qebkjx.gif :megalol: Just more wishes and dreams :music_whistling: Maybe EDGE Update 2.0.0 will open new doors, so we wait!
