Hi, while approaching Vaziani at rwy 14 I noticed the localizer on the hsi is having inverted reaction to my plane's position. Does it happen to everybody? So if im centered loc is centered, but if im at the right of the rwy it will move to the right like its acting as a FD instead of a localizer. Im a real airline pilot by the way :)

Thanks!

Are you sure your coming in on the correct runway sir?

If its inverted that sort of indicates your coming in on the opposite runway, DCS ILS doesn't work like RL on opposite runways... try doing it again on runway 32 (in the same mission) and see what happens, then let me know!

jeje, I specified that im a real pilot so you'd know in advance i dont make those kind of errors...

anyway, if i go on rwy 32 there is no glideslope and the dme takes me to the approach point AP past the airport for a drop turn to intercept loc at rwy 14...

so this doesnt happen to you? its just my game thats bug?

Seen stranger things happen sir, no one is perfect ;)

I just tested this and the glideslope and localizer for runway 14 works perfectly at Vaziani.

Again unlike real life, the ILS in DCS has an entry point. When you first select the ILS for an airfield the localizer will take you to this entry point, only when you have flown over the entry point (or flown between it and the runway) will it then update to give you guidance to the runway.

From then on it should be business as usual for you, the glide and localizer work perfectly.

Try your approach from a little further from the airfield if your coming in close or via the overhead.

Fly out to the ILS entry point and follow it all the way in.

Good luck!

Hi, i didnt say the ils doesnt work, it works but it is not well aligned with the rwy.

Are you 100% sure it works perfect?

like i said before, i always enter the ap prior to final and that when i pick up ils signal, but inverted.

by the way, are we talking about the f-15, right?

Best way is to post a track.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

;2091018']yes sir, I am.

Made a quick video for you this afternoon to have a look at showing the ILS in operation on Runway 14.

Hey thanks! I watched it and will try to make mine too in a couple of hours. I will share it tonight, keep tight!

There is bug with the CDI/Localiser bar on the HSI. Once you pass the OM it no longer represents the ILS localiser it reverts to some heading based thing. You can test this.

Fly the Localiser outside the OM it will indicate localiser deviations correctly. Inside the OM make small heading deviations you will see the Localser CDI bar rapidly moving in direct response to aircraft heading not localiser deviation !... also note that the course window digits on the HSI will now be indicating heading ... in sympathy with the wildly fluctuating CDI bar. Of course what should happen is the CDI bar should remain a True localiser deviation indicator referenced to the set HSI ILS published front course throughout the approach.

ADI Deviation bars and HUD Steering cross work correctly.

I have reported this but no feedback from the devs.

Does this happen to all airports?
