Spetz Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Not playing on my usual system as I'm about 15,000 km away from home, but after DL'ing the most current 1.2.8.27915 from DCS, installing all my modules and plugging in a new Thrustmaster extreme 3D pro (really miss my warthog..), fired up the sim. Did all my adjustments and made a fast mission. Seems when I fly either the 27 or 33, when I get a radar lock against me, the games freezes hard and I have to do a hard reboot. Tested it against other aircraft, same thing. When flying the Mi8 or F15 or using ground vehicles, no issues..Only when I was in the 27 / 33 and got spiked by airborne radar. Attached the the cash log, no issues with other games or programsdcs crash.txt Edited June 15, 2014 by Spetz
Spetz Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Bump for some help here. Can't fly against anything as I lockup my computer as soon I I hear a radar tone..
AtaliaA1 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Did U delete saved games folder as a attempt to fix this? Some have had success in this issue with it. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. ENO Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Do you have the crash logs? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Spetz Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 Turns out it's not just radar lock but the general solid tone you get with either being locked or exceeding your AOA. attached is the dcs.log.dcs.txt
ENO Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 In the logs folder where you're getting this... is there no crash log and crash dump file? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Spetz Posted June 25, 2014 Author Posted June 25, 2014 No there is not, which it find strange. There is also no crash event in windows when it happens. I've never had this issue before and it's only happens as stated.
ENO Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Okay... check a couple things for me will ya? Is the force feedback setting checked in the options? Are you running full screen or windowed mode? Not sure it's related but just checking the boxes. Also- what sound driver do you have on the machine you're using now? For that matter- what are the specs on the distal rig? Spetz Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 Sorry for the delay, busy at work.. Force feedback is off and running fullscreen. I updated the video drivers, and now it just hangs for about 2-5 seconds during the sound, then continues. Sound driver is realtek HD audio with driver version 6.00.001.7023 (dated 21/08/2013) My specs are: Asus G750JW laptop Intel i7 4700 8 core 12 Gb Ram Nvidia GTX 765m Win 7 Ultimate x64
ENO Posted June 30, 2014 Posted June 30, 2014 If you've updated drivers, then rename saved games / dcs folder to "dcs1" and let the game recreate it in its entirety. See what happens. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
