hey guys!my hardrive died on me last week, so i bought a new one...

i reinstalled dcs world and my modules and everything seemed fine at the first glance...but now that i played again i noticed that my game suffers from constant stutters.i never had this before in dcs.it seems to be worse when i move my head around, but even with trackir disabled i can see that the game seem to micro freeze every second...any ideas?

i already tried the dcs repair function and also reinstalled the game, but no joy.

EDIT:as its a new hardrive, i have a clean windows7 install as well

Although I understand U had no stutter before the reinstall. It would help to know the specs of the machine in question.

ok....after some more testing, it seems that my stutters seem to be connected with how close i am to the ground...when im dogfighting up in the air several thousand or hundred feet above ground, it seem to be ok...but once in flying really close the the ground, and look around fast with my trackir while making crazy manouvers, i get some serious stutters and freezes...any ideas?is this related to my ram?i dont think its my graphics card, as its pretty new(~4-5months) and during dogfights and explosions, smoketrails and tracers everything seems to be ok...

I had the same stutters after a hdd change / fresh install.

I had gone through everything I could think of for about a week, then the windows service pack came up in the windows update. Quite late on the update queue...

After that, the stuttering stopped.

I can't be sure that the SP was what fixed it though.
