ENO Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 STEAM version at all? Did you install manually or via module manager? Do me a quick favour and just try renaming your saved games / DCS folder to saved games / DCS1 then restart. With that... also go into logs (in saved games / dcs / logs) and seek out your "crash" and log files... there can be some interesting tidbits in there. Sam499 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Still crashes when renaming folder. Steam version yes and I installed through steam Attached logs, I assume their the right files?dcs.txtme.txt
Wolf Rider Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 How much RAM are you running? and is everything you're running, with regard to DCS, consistently As Administrator or not... did you install As Administrator? ENO Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 (edited) There should also be a "crash" file- same place you grabbed those other two. Still seeing that direct x (dx I'm assuming is direct x) error to load a texture. Did you load the redist for dx9 when you installed? Sam499 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Does anyone have any idea why I keep crashing? I really want to play.
Mowgli Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Try this... Hey Sam I purchased the A-10c & FC3 from Steam and by default Steam installs DCS World & modules on your computer. each time i lunched DCSW i had a different error. the solution was to uninstall steam version, clean reg and do a fresh install from ED site : download World and FC3 - enter serial and i hope this will end your problem good luck:yes: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel i5 4690K | ASUS Z-97PRO Gaming Mobo | Nvidia Gigabyte GTX970 3.5/0.5 GB Windforce3 | G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz | Samsung Evo 120GB SSD | Win10 Pro | Antec 750w 80 Bronze Modular

Sam499 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 It starts but then crashes and gives me the exact same error; Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: DCS.exe Application Version: 1.2.8.27915 Application Timestamp: 537df6ef Fault Module Name: CockpitBase.dll Fault Module Version: 1.2.8.27915 Fault Module Timestamp: 537deea1 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00000000000029d4 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: fa1a Additional Information 2: fa1ad9a0bc0e1fa451ceb12ddc4f4df0 Additional Information 3: 2029 Additional Information 4: 2029f5b228345818e0bc21eded3f1c1c
ENO Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Okay... couple things- I'm wondering how you actually installed the modules- you said you uninstalled the STEAM version and installed the ED version- did you rename the DCS folder after you did that? If not, do it. Have you actually installed the modules or did you just download them in hopes they would pick up automatically? Sam499 Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Uninstalled through steam, renamed folder and still crashes and i installed the module correctly.
ENO Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I haven't seen that error before so I have to walk through it with you from scratch... sorry. So if you remove the FC3 module- does it still crash on load? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Mustang Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I wonder if this is somehow related to the 'factory.lua' crash problem?
ENO Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 I wonder if this is somehow related to the 'factory.lua' crash problem? Yeah I thought about that but totally different presentation. Just in case though: Try this Sam http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=124577 Also Sam I remember that audio failure too. Do you have current audio drivers?
