srky Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 File/open/(find the folder that you specifically set for acmi files)
JulienBlanc Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 It just doesn't interact with DCS... staring at a blank world of nothingness, while the track is playing... There was this thing on the Tacview website aswell, where they said you need to manually copy things blabla.. which I did aswell but nope :( [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Intel i7-4790K 4GHz H100i 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD Crucial+ WD Blue 16 Gb Ram DDR3-1866-C9R Mhz Veng. Falcon_S Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Such constructiveness I feel your comment has really helped me out here, I feel I have gained lightyears of experience right there.:music_whistling: Don`t get me wrong please. When you get killed is always your fault. It is important to you to understand each time where you're wrong. Only then you can gain your skill. Incorrect assessment - a bad outcome. This is 100% true and constructively ... and of course part of SA. I can`t be more constructive because I do not know about your situation was in that flight. The elements that you mentioned is changing rapidly and this can be seen in Tacview. About that R-73 - it is possible, if you meet the conditions for its goal. You gave her the necessary parameters and she hit. Quote Немој ништа силом, узми већи чекић! srky Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Set the things up, start replay of your mp mission and do not open tacview while the track is running, and do not open tacview until it is finished.
Maximus_Lazarus Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Send me the replay file julien. It's in "C, gebruikers, (jouw computernaam), opgeslagen spellen, DCS, tracks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JulienBlanc Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 Sorry went for dinner, my ACMI save location folder is empty... eventhough I've gone through 2 weeks of flying, with starting it up prior to dcs, and withouth... GGTharos Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 You don't need to start the Tacview application before playing. It's possible that the script that writes the ACMIs did not install into DCS correctly. JulienBlanc Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 http://lomac.strasoftware.com/tacview-dcs-en.php I keep trying to do this... Recopied each file, filled each one again with the required lines... save them... put them back in Directory... yet the script doesn't seem to run :/ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Intel i7-4790K 4GHz H100i 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD Crucial+ WD Blue 16 Gb Ram DDR3-1866-C9R Mhz Veng. JulienBlanc Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 It says to do this in the "saved games"folder, but does it need to be done in the DCS main folder aswell? I'm trying but too noob >_< I really appreciate the effort though :) I gave up on it at some point, but it seems to be such a usefull tool it'd be amazing if I could get it to work... Would a fresh installation of DCS work+TacView work? One of the issues with re-installing TacView alone, is that it's registered in the registry, whiiich pretty much puts it back with the "settings" that didn't work... more of a recovery type, than a re-installation one... Tvol Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 So first, fly . Try to taxi as little as possible so the track won't get corrupt. Whoa, wait a second...does taxiing on the ground actually result in corrupted track exports? Or is this just a misuse of the word "corrupt"?
GGTharos Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I have had several tracks play back correctly, and a few not - regardless of taxiing. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
DieHard Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) 2'o clock spike, high, 40km out. Turn in, return full lock, he is at 12.000km heading towards me slow. 500'ish (kmh that is ) I'm at a disadvantage, so I crank him right? Beam him while gaining little altitude ( currently at 2km ) My speed is at around 800km/h ( around cornering speed just in case ). He is far beyond my 27-ER range. Just before max range for my 27, he fires I am forced into going full defensive, thus a Notch keeping him on my 3' I make a left turn putting him on my 10' relocating him on radar, 20km out still high and Poof, R-73 killed xxx. Sooo, I beam him from start off, get into a notch position for a few seconds, turn hard left, beaming again, at less than 1km altitude ( no afterburner to minimize heat sig. ) and still a R-73 launched from max range hits me? I've trained for months, on strategy approaches, maneuvers, theoretical data, Single player facing 1 to multiple AI's, seen hours and hours of content on these situations yet a Max range R-73 HITS ME? Come on... My WVR has improved a LOT, and I can see it has. Theory meets reality. But BVR remains a mystery... no matter how much you study, no matter how much you practice I've come to think it's all bull* and just a game of luck and no-skill point & shoot asap within range. as proof: I stepped into an F-15, pointed & shot and got a k/d of almost 3 to 1. I've dodged more missiles in an F-15 than in a Su-27, supposedly more maneuverable. Performing the same maneuvers. What works fairly good results in SP (Single Player) is fairly worthless in MP (Multiplayer). Flying on the 104ths server is a good example. Most of the guys there work teamwork. You go beaming with your active radar on, they will find you. There is always a guy flying the ridgetops hiding in the valleys dipping up and down using guns or IR missiles. Some of the servers do not allow Tacview to record. Somehow some folks use it as an in game cheat in real time. Edited August 7, 2014 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DieHard Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) Sorry went for dinner, my ACMI save location folder is empty... eventhough I've gone through 2 weeks of flying, with starting it up prior to dcs, and withouth... My copy is currently out of date. There is a globe top of page to click on. This has a drop-down to enable by check-mark what you want TacView to record. My copy use to work. I replayed files within their utility, opening a file with the far left tool top of page. I have not used it in awhile. Now like the 104th and S-77th 's servers, they do not allow TacView recording, so no TacView tracks will be there in the listing to open. Edited August 7, 2014 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FLANKERATOR Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Make sure you don't have more than one Tacview version installed as maybe the one you think is recording your flights is actually not. Also make sure Taview is set to record flights (thick record DCS flights and double check the destination folder under the globe icon on the menu). Make sure the server you flew in does allow exports otherwise you will have to replay your track afterwards to get an ACMI. If you host your own session, open the file C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Saved Games\DCS\Config\network.cfg and set the following variable like this: allow_object_export = true If none of the above works, uninstall and reinstall.
