  1. I used to have a 3D pro 7 years ago... Used it with Flanker. Options can be overwhelming now because you can set your modifiers and keys BOTH in Logitech software AND game control settings. What you should try: 1. assign every a simple KEYBOARD key to every control that you are going to use often in flight and combat (radar on/off, EOS on/off, weapon select, gun, flaps, radar modes, nav modes... everything you deem critical) . 2. Set your modifiers in Logitech software. I think you can set 2 buttons as modifiers enabling you two dozen different commands at your fingertips. You should then link your button presses (with and without modifier 1/2) to those keyboard keys which correspond to your desired command. So any button pressed (hat switch also) can have 3 possible commands. You should be able to do it all in logitech's script editor or control panel or whatever, I forgot the details... I had hat switch mapped to view, and when modifier 1 was pressed it acted like the trimmer, with modifier 2 pressed it slew the target designator box. I hope it makes sense, I'm terrible at explaining.
  2. How would you normaly get high in the air and still have 100% fuel?? Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk

  4. I think this is it too (for all practical, DCS purposes), no reason to suspect otherwise. As how much it reflects RL HUD... is open to discussion though.
  5. "CB" - SV in cyrilic, should be short for "SVOI", meaning "OWN" as in YOUR OWN, as in FRIENDLY. I'm not a native russian speaker so would be nice if some of our russian members confirm this. Sent from my GT-I9305N using Tapatalk
  6. Played that mission long time ago in 1.2. IIRC, the trick was in letting the Su-25 flights settle on station and report they are ready while you fly as fast as you can to engage those F-16s. If "rooks" get so much as painted on viper radar then they will eject weapons and/or flee... mission failed. If you take too long to destroy enemy fighters -they run out of fuel and RTB- mission failed. You only give them permission to engage ground targets after you sanitize the sky from enemy fighters (I believe there were 3 of them). Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  7. Turning your radar off will not change anything because they know already where you are (as indicated by your Beryoza) so you can forget about stealth.
  8. Aaaaand... here's the table: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=30123
  9. I made it without touching the configuration files, since I use zoom on the axis -antenna elevation wheel on the cougar throttle to be exact. I have just edited the axis in DCS control menu for given planes. Works like a charm.
  10. I don't know what the whole fuss is about when people talk about landing Su-27. My first attempt at landing her was almost perfect. Airplane reacted to my input as it should (read: as I expected). For the first time I could almost feel the aircraft under my fingertips, unlike the old flanker "on rails" which felt wrong. I'm flying with modified cougar with curves set for MORE sensitivity, to shorten the throw needed for medium to high control surface deflection... counter intuitive but works for me. Having said that, I had my fair share of inverted-butt-flat-spins and stalls and what not.
  11. Is it possible that computer keeps last known position displayed on HDD for some seconds after target stops reflecting enough energy back? And you just pick it up again later when it, say, comes out of a notch for example?
  12. Well... if this is true than hats off to ED! I don't think in RL radar beam magically stops after reaching the target but rather illuminates a portion of the sky behind and around the target. Maybe enemy wingmen presented himself as a better target in one moment, sometime your missile went into terminal guidance... Also, there is no reason your SPO should not pick up radiation from enemy radar (and interpret it's mode) if you were near enough or in line with your wingman, which you say was a real target. I wish someone more knowledgeable chime in because I'm only guessing here....
  13. Also, Nedum: flaps ARE there to produce lift BUT at lower speeds... you can't have that extra lift without drag so- at high speed, flaps act more like an airbrake.
  14. Simo, you are talking about datalink between fighters, I don't think the dcs F-15 has such capability. It has only recently been added to su-27 because in RL sukhoi uses it and, for now, it only works in single player. So... you need to be on TS with other players and learn to communicate what you see on your radar. Look for "Brevity Code" on internet, it will bring you up to speed on fighter pilot lingo [emoji6]
