ShuRugal Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I've just spent the last couple hours battling with Tacview, and I cannot seem to get DCS to generate any .acmi files. I've made sure all the scripts are in the proper folders, and enable_object_export is set to true, as per the directions for manual install, but still nothing. any ideas?

Do you have any other exports enabled in your export.lua? If so, make sure that the line added to the export.lua by TacView is the last line (this could break those other exports, though).

ENO Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Well- mine is working fine... so let's see what I have: In my saved game / dcs / Scripts folder I have an export.lua and a TacviewExportDCS.lua. Do you have those in place? Also, any chance at all that Tacview is monitoring an unused beta version? I've seen that kind of thing happen before... ENO Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 So when you have tacview on there is a little dcs icon in the bottom right hand corner? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art

JulienBlanc Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Would you happen to start your game through another gaming software? Are you using steam? Joystick software? Any shortcut that may not grant it full admin rights? Make sure in your DCS main folder that the exe files in "options/ compatibility" are set to start as Admin. JulienBlanc Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Then try starting DCS directly through the actual exe, Launcher.exe or Updater right click launch as admin, see if that works? Check this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122857 (start at posting #9). that was it: I no longer use the A-10 virtual cockpit, so having it try to load that script was throwing it off.
Worther_1 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Are you looking in the right place for the Acmi´s? They are not in the Saved Games folder, they are in >my documents>Tacview. Thanks for this info, I've recently installed Tacview (primarily for BMS) and then found out it worked with DCS. I didn't carry out any file changes/additions (standard install) and it worked fine once I found out where the files are stored, so thanks for posting! BTW I'm running Steam DCS World. Worther Worther_1 DCS Black Shark 2, A10-C, Huey, MiG-21bis, Hawk, Flaming Cliffs 3, F/A-18, Nevada Terrain.
wingshigh.g Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I installed Tacview, found the acmi files from both MP and SP. However the MP replay only shows my plane, no other plane is shown in there. Is there any reason why?
wingshigh.g Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Found the reason, just need to replay the tracks in SP.
