I've just spent the last couple hours battling with Tacview, and I cannot seem to get DCS to generate any .acmi files. I've made sure all the scripts are in the proper folders, and enable_object_export is set to true, as per the directions for manual install, but still nothing.

any ideas?

Do you have any other exports enabled in your export.lua? If so, make sure that the line added to the export.lua by TacView is the last line (this could break those other exports, though).

Are you looking in the right place for the Acmi´s? They are not in the Saved Games folder, they are in >my documents>Tacview.

no .acmi files exist anywhere on my computer. I tried manually specifying where to put them, and that folder is untouched since I created it.

And you have DCS world enabled on the taview side?

yes.

Well- mine is working fine... so let's see what I have:

In my saved game / dcs / Scripts folder I have an export.lua and a TacviewExportDCS.lua. Do you have those in place?

Also, any chance at all that Tacview is monitoring an unused beta version? I've seen that kind of thing happen before...

Would you happen to start your game through another gaming software? Are you using steam?

Joystick software? Any shortcut that may not grant it full admin rights?

Make sure in your DCS main folder that the exe files in "options/ compatibility" are set to start as Admin.

Then try starting DCS directly through the actual exe, Launcher.exe or Updater right click launch as admin, see if that works?

Thanks for this info, I've recently installed Tacview (primarily for BMS) and then found out it worked with DCS.

I didn't carry out any file changes/additions (standard install) and it worked fine once I found out where the files are stored, so thanks for posting!

BTW I'm running Steam DCS World.
