I don't want to feel like I have to ask this question but release dates have been a very, very fluid thing in the world of DCS as of late and with the rather sudden change of plans for the MiG-21 release, I now feel that it might be good to see where you all stand.

So, is the F-86 Sabre still on track for a July release? Is there anything we (as the waiting fans) should know about any potential or already changed plans in regards to the release?

I don't ask this as a sort of "Tell me a release date!" kind of thing, I ask because plans change and sometimes the fans are not always kept in the loop so while you as developers may know about any potential delay, we don't and we may be waiting for a release that won't happen when we think it will.

Just thought i would throw this out there.

I would be very frustrated if it was withheld until into August... for whatever reason. ED said July. Don't say it if you don't mean it.

But I pray to the jet turbine gods that the Sabre is flyable by the end of next week! I neeeeed this! I am so addicted to DCS and Eagle Dynamics. :pilotfly:

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

I don't want to be negative here, in fact I really hope they can get the Sabre out asap (it's a day 1 purchase for me). However, I have a gut feeling we wont see it this month. Last news we heard was that it will be released sometime between July 15-25. We're now July 22nd and we haven't heard anything at all, no manual has been put out, no changelog for 1.2.9 has been put out, no announcement whatsoever.

It seems like on 25th were going to get an announcement saying "we have run into some delays and we will hopefully be ready for next week". Next week will roll around with no news and no release and then, boom, the month is over.

I really really hope that Im proven wrong because Im very interested in flying the Sabre and it looks like these guys have done a really good job with it.

Could be the calm before the storm. At least that's what I'm hoping.
