Jason76 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I've got 1 gig of RAM. Should I set the terrain preload option in the graphics menu to 50km or 100km? So far I haven't noticed a whole lot of difference between the 2 settings except that it takes a bit longer to enter the game from the loading screen with the 100km setting.
Jay Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 IMO setting this to 100 km should help when jumping between external views of different aircraft or ground objects which are far away from each other, but with 1 gig you should have it at max anyway... Pilotasso Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Me too. The idea is to have the data on RAM instead of paging it to the disk. .
junae Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Does the 100km affect FPS (increasing it) or just prevent some kind of stuttering? Thanks ;) =FN= Six o'Clock Member of Falcões da Noite Squadron Florianopolis :: Brazil
