Something like this would add a lot of realism for me as every aircraft I have flown and now fly has this type of visible haze or "border" between the cockpit glass and metal frame.

I would love to see this in the DCS A-10C

Do it!

There are mods that replace the glas already...to those yellow tinted side windows.

You probably find some opacity map in one of those templates that you could add some haze dirt or scratches as you please and then share them with us.

I made my own arrangements. I also think it's more realistic to more visible reflection. I did it by editing the texture of the glass, just clearing the alpha map. And some tests to see the result.

Yes, I have modified several for each aircraft. But it is not an official mod, did not think to publish it because it's personal, but here it is. I'll see if Devrim want to include it in any of your mods.

To install them, they must add the respective files in the zip file for each cockpit.

the "Haze" you are referring too is the reflection of the canopy frame.

Hello Skulleader. I think there is no problem, but have to see if Ricardo has modified the file or left unedited, possibly, I do not have that mod, but the file I edited only modifies an alpha channel and clarifies a bit rgb channel. Nothing more.

I do not have the P-51D, and the F-86F for editing on their respective files. I guess the P-51D must use a similar Tf-51 file. I'm sorry :(, maybe Devrim can do.

No, I'm very aware of the reflection between frame and glass.

I'm talking about the physical markings visible along the border between glass and frame as a result of age, wear and tear, repairs, etc.
